A family has reportedly been arrested following allegations of severe torture and grievous bodily harm inflicted on a 10-year-old boy living under their care.

The incident is said to have occurred at James Obinna Street, Odume Obosi, off Minaj Junction. The child has since been rescued and taken to the hospital for urgent medical attention, while those involved have reportedly been taken into custody.

No child deserves to endure such cruelty. Cases of abuse against vulnerable children must be thoroughly investigated, and anyone found responsible should face the full consequences of the law.

We will continue to monitor developments in this case and provide updates as more information becomes available. Our thoughts are with the young victim, and we hope for his full recovery.
