π—‘π—˜π—ͺ𝗦 | Mx. Sumaway Finishes as Top 8 Finalist; Wins Corporate Award at Serene Empress 2025

The College of Engineering (CEN) representative, Mx. Dexie Sumaway of BSCE 4-3, finished as one of the Top 8 finalists and earned the Miss Nuat Thai corporate award during the Lantern Serene Empress 2025, held on December 18, 2025, at the Central Luzon State University (CLSU) Oval.

The pageant, one of the highlights of the CLSU Lantern Festival 2025, was staged under the theme β€œKISLAP: Kwento ng Ilaw sa Lansangan, Alay sa Paskong Pinagdiriwang.” Representing CEN, Mx. Sumaway impressed the audience through the production number, advocacy cape presentation, and evening gown competition, showcasing confidence, elegance, and striking stage presence.

During the Top 8 Question-and-Answer (Q&A) segment, Mx. Sumaway was asked about Sustainable Development Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities. She emphasized the importance of providing equal opportunities regardless of background, highlighting the need to create β€œa world that is thriving and valuable for future generations.”

Reflecting on her journey, Mx. Sumaway shared an empowering message for future Ms. Serene Empress - CEN: β€œAng advice ko lang sa’yo, be authentic and be the voice of Engineering students who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community. Ipaglaban mo kung ano ang dapat ipaglaban.”

Meanwhile, Mx. Keizha Pascual from the College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) was crowned Lantern Serene Empress 2025, garnering the majority of the special awards during the competition. Mx. CASS was followed by Mx. CHSI as first runner-up and Mx. CBA as second runner-up.

π—‘π—˜π—ͺ𝗦 | Christmas Concierto sparks Christmas hits; CEn hails 2nd Runner-Up

College of Engineering (CEn) gained the 2nd Runner-Up in Christmas Concierto, awarded at the Central Luzon State University Grandstand as it followed College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) as 1st Runner-Up and the of College of Home Science and Industry (CHSI) as back-to-back champion.

CEn's concierto relived the spirit of Filipino Christmas by presenting and reenacting the present day Philippines filled with every-day activities, scenarios, and issues including youth rallies against corruption, Christmas preparation fun in families, and work for a living.

CEn's concierto team resembled pre-Christmas moments while singing β€œPagsapit ng Pasko”.

Though corruption remains being called out in Christmas month, families are still waiting for their 13th month pay for their living and Noche Buena preparation, which was sang in β€œChristmas Bonus”

Songs β€œPasko sa Pinas”, β€œIlang Tulog Pa Ba?”, and the β€œStar ng Pasko” encore were sang with emotions as the story unfolds in the performance.

CEn’s Concierto finished 2nd Runner-Up with an average score of 72.333%, awarded after the Music Fest blast.

Sugarcane made sure to pluck heartstrings as they ultimately performed with songs including their hit β€œLeonora” in the Lantern Fest 2025 Music Fest happened at the CLSU Grandstand.

π—ͺ𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛 | Lantern Fest 2025 says β€œGood morning, Sielesyuans!” as the event is now live for exactly 23 hours.

Amount of waste is conquering the CLSU Oval Field, which is now being unraveled under the morning sunrise; now being cleaned by the CLSU Community including utilities, community volunteers and assistance of CLSUans.

Lantern Fest 2025 started December 18, 2025 at 7:00 in the morning. Battle of the Bands is about to reach its conclusion after two more performers.

Central Luzon State University (CLSU) grounds are alive with excitement as the much-awaited Lantern Festival 2025 with a theme "KISLAP: Kwento ng Ilaw Sa Lansangan Alay sa Paskong Pinagdiriwang", is holding a Music Fest featuring guest artists; firsthand, Fitterkarma.

As of writing, Fitterkarma and We Tell Stories have bowed on stage and Magiliw Street is tuned up. Next up, Sugarcane.
