The sweetest summer day spent with E&Z in the gardens 🌿💚

The last bits of green coming through here as the leaves are slowly starting to change 🙈 loved every minute of this cool, sunnysummer day we had to walk around and capture this season of engagement for E&Z 🥰 they actually got engaged here last fall so it was a fun return where the gardens looked a bit different to really tie in their whole engagement season! We can’t wait to capture the next big moment for them as they get married 💍🙈❤️

Wedding weekend for K&C and we could not be more excited 🙈 let’s just say they hold a pizza our hearts 🍕❤️…was that cheesy ??🧀 couldn’t help it !! We had so much fun downtown taking their engagement photos at one of our favorite restaurants in Omaha, !! Food actually is the way to our hearts and these two just get us. But more importantly they chose to do a session that felt so like them. We absolutely love these images and the way they really show off their goofy personalities ❤️ absolutely cannot wait for wedding day and the fun that is to come !!

Believe it or not after the storm this was the night we got for M&G’s engagement photos 🩵 They were totally down for whatever the weather threw at them but they got a perfect night and we had so much fun dancing on docks, running through fields, and even making a few friends along the way 🐴 if this was just the engagement session, we can hardly wait for the wedding 🙈

Family photos at the zoo ?!? YES PLEASE !!!!!!
We love this little family and when Jess mentioned she wanted to do something fun this year for their family photos we totally leaned into it !! Their kids are at a perfect age where they go to the zoo all the time so why not capture this exact stage of life for them ?! We had an absolute blast and I don’t think the kids had any idea we were there to take family pictures 🙈

Let’s talk about editing and style 💚 We have been working hard this season to create our own custom presets and luts that help make our look super cohesive and gives us the ultimate control over the coloring and style of our work. One thing about us is we are ALWAYS trying to learn and get better. We set goals every year and are always aim to improve many areas of K&K. There are so many moving parts in owning a business and breaking it down into the tiny little pieces takes a lot of time, energy, and effort but it’s so important as we continue to move forward in the industry !! At the end of the day our goal is always to be better story tellers and serve our clients better… every little part goes into that and is always worth the extra time, energy, and effort 💚 we are super excited about the steps we’ve taken so far this year and have many more in mind before next year 🙈

Yesterday was National Dog Day so we thought we would use this as an opportunity to show off the pups of K&K !! 🐾 One thing about us…. We are major dog people ❤️ Kathrine has a miniature bernedoodle named Arti (short for Havarti 🧀) who is also lovingly called Arti Party, Sir, Bud, stinker b***y, Sweet Baby Boy, Goofy Guy, Mr. Mans, and Dennis...the menace. Karissa has a miniature Aussie and border collie mix named Albi (short for albatross ⛳️) who is lovingly called Albus Dumbledog, Dobby, THE Albatross, Sweetie Pie, and knuckle head. You may see them here or there popping in on up in a reel 🤷🏻‍♀️ they are crazy pups but they make life fun 🙈 their own little dynamic duo: A&A ✨

One of the most common things we hear after an engagement session is “that was actually a lot of fun” 🙈 It’s true… we love to have fun during engagement sessions and try to make it feel more like a date night out (with a third wheel 😜). We love doing sessions that are a little outside the box that highlight you as a couple !! We always prompt our couples to think “what is something we really love doing in this season of life”? Is it going to the bars, going for a hike, roller skating, baking sour dough at home, hanging with your pup, going out to your favorite restaurant, grabbing ice cream or coffee…. The possibilities are endless but we love how adding something fun can really stamp the memories of this specific engagement season for you ❤️ feel free to reach out for more ideas… we are full of them 🙈
