The Realness Radio Show started in April 2018 with Al English & Connor Stevenson. Al & Connor have worked together for the last five years, primarily delivering bespoke music and multimedia projects to young people around Greater Manchester. They both have a passion for music and are both artists in their own right. Al is also known by the alias ‘Dweller’ and has been releasing his brand of underground Hip Hop & Rap since around 2006. Connor ‘Trouble’ Stevenson has also done his fair share of music over the years and has released multiple tracks and helped establish himself as something of a helping hand for emerging local artists. The radio show was an idea which quickly snowballed into something bigger. Al had previously done a show on Bolton FM a few years back and managed to get a Friday night timeslot. It was agreed that the 2 hour slot would be split down the middle and would cater for two audiences (Old School, Classic Rap & Hip Hop for the first hour - and Uk Rap, Grime, R&B, Afrobeat for the second). Connor soon enlisted the help of local DJ ‘Dappa T’ who added a new dynamic to the show and is certainly no stranger to controlling those dancefloors with his style of tracks.
