The Story
The Realness Radio Show started in April 2018 with Al English & Connor Stevenson. Al & Connor have worked together for the last five years, primarily delivering bespoke music and multimedia projects to young people around Greater Manchester. They both have a passion for music and are both artists in their own right. Al is also known by the alias ‘Dweller’ and has been releasing his brand of underground Hip Hop & Rap since around 2006. Connor ‘Trouble’ Stevenson has also done his fair share of music over the years and has released multiple tracks and helped establish himself as something of a helping hand for emerging local artists. The radio show was an idea which quickly snowballed into something bigger. Al had previously done a show on Bolton FM a few years back and managed to get a Friday night timeslot. It was agreed that the 2 hour slot would be split down the middle and would cater for two audiences (Old School, Classic Rap & Hip Hop for the first hour - and Uk Rap, Grime, R&B, Afrobeat for the second). Connor soon enlisted the help of local DJ ‘Dappa T’ who added a new dynamic to the show and is certainly no stranger to controlling those dancefloors with his style of tracks. All together The Realness Radio Show offers it all. If you like Hip Hop and Rap then this is definitely something you should check out.
