🎉 Final Day of our Digital Detox Challenge!

What a journey! Here's what I've learned:
• My phone addiction was worse than I thought 😅 but the force was strong and I managed to restrain myself
• Quality work doesn't require constant connectivity
• Woody and Java are excellent accountability partners!

⏰ Day 6: Getting Intentional with Tech!

Today's challenge: Only checking emails/social media 3 times (it’s even scheduled into my calendar)!
My schedule:
10am: Morning check ✔️
2pm: Afternoon catch-up ✔️

Digital Detox Challenge with @&KarenHall

🌙 Evening Digital Detox Time!

8PM onwards = screens off! (I usually set my phone to automatically go into do not disturb mode and silence all notifications apart from important texts or calls only) Instead of my usual evening scroll, tonight I'm:
• Reading that book series that I’m currently reading. At the moment I’m reading the Dune book series, I’m about half way through the Heretics of Dune book.
• Enjoying the smells from the candle 🕯️

Java's evening tip: Switch your phone to grayscale at 7PM - makes those apps way less tempting!

Digital Detox Challenge with @&KarenHall

🌳 Day 4: Trading Screens for Green!

Challenge: 30 minutes of pure, uninterrupted nature time. No phones, no pics (well, except this one!), just presence.

Today I discovered:
• Birds are LOUD when you actually listen
• Nature doesn't need a filter to look amazing (even if it’s just standing in your garden!)

Woody's fun fact: Looking at nature for just 40 seconds can improve focus and productivity!

✏️ Back to basics day! And yes, this is literally what Pencil and Coffee was named for!

Today's challenge: Pure analog productivity. No digital tools, just good old pencil (sometimes a pen) and paper (and coffee, obviously!)

Fun fact: Studies show we remember things better when we write them down by hand! Even Woody's ditched his digital notepad today 😉

My analog essentials:
• A proper coffee (Java insists!)
• My favourite notebook
• A pen (but Woody gets jealous if I when I don’t use a pencil)
• A quiet corner
• Zero notifications

📵 Day 2: The Big Social Media Pause!

Todays challenge is 24 hours of no social media... yes, you read that right! Even Woody and Java are taking a break from their usual digital shenanigans 😅

Quick confession: I've reached for my phone about 47 times already (muscle memory is real, folks!)

While I'm away, why not try:
• Reading that book you've been putting off
• Calling (yes, actually calling!) a friend
• Taking a walk without documenting it
Drawing something (Woody approved!)
And in my case playing video games and my phone in another room (FYI I wasn’t playing for 24 hours 😂)

This week its my turn for the Digital Detox Challenge with @&KarenHall you may have seen her posting about this 7 day challenge last week!

🌅 Day 1 of our with !

First challenge: One hour screen-free after waking up! Woody's been hiding my phone, and Java's been brewing extra strong coffee to keep me focused 😄

Honestly? It’s calming and relaxing, I started my day off by walking Karma for 30/40 mins soaking in the morning sun and not thinking about anything else apart from enjoying the walk to start the day strong!
