"Do we need another Rimbaud? Now, even one hundred and fifty years after he stopped writing poetry? It’s a question his long afterlife keeps open. At the moment he ceased to be a poet around 1875, barely out of his teens, he reciprocally ceased to be a person and instead became a myth – or better, a blank screen onto which a myth or myths could be projected."

"As part of my Fulbright Scholar experience in India, I had the great pleasure to teach performance art to Photography Masters students at the National Institute of Design in Gandhinager, India. NID is the most highly selective art and design school in the country and photography only admits 16 students each year. Although I have a MFA in photography and have taught a myriad of photography courses over the past 25 years, my passion lies in teaching interdisciplinary contemporary art classes, which mirrors my own approach to art making in the 21st century."

"I’ve taken seven courses in a variety of topics including gender/performance, embodying the artist’s process, art and social engagement, magic and most recently an overview of digital—A.I. and NFTs. TAAS’ faculty includes well-known contemporary artists and curators and the student body includes a global community of artists in all stages of their careers."

Colette Copeland: Two adjectives that come to mind when viewing your work from the As We Rise series and In Dream—Between Fact and Fiction are surreal and dystopic. Surrealism’s legacy is rich with dreamscapes and disparate objects within fractured landscapes. Although the surrealism movement is most associated with painting and film, photography has used montage as a tool to delve into the unconscious, as well as present utopic and dystopic realities. How has surrealism inspired your work?

"Your new collection of memoir poems, Go Go Go Girl, was just released by Poison Fang Books. One can’t help but notice this strong, dynamic connection that’s going on between your words and the artwork by Jesse McCloskey that accompanies each poem. They seem to reveal almost hidden layers that words aren’t able to express. There’s this feeling of unspoken dialogue, a triggering. I’m curious. Which provokes which? What is the relationship between the poems and the drawings for you?"

"Mark Strand says: There is no happiness like mine; and later; I romp with joy in the bookish dark.
I know what he means. Poetry can change your life irreparably. I read some — I may as well say I ate some — in 1972, and I have never recovered — probably because I have never wanted to recover."

Colette Copeland interviews Vishnupriya Rajgarhia who lives and works between India and the United Kingdom and whose artistic practice looks at 'interventions' and 'interactive art'.
https://www.arteidolia.com/interview-with-vishnupriya-rajgarhia-by-colette-copeland/
"I met Vishnupriya in an online class through The Alternative Art School. Our workshop with esteemed artists of RAQS Media Collective focused on art and social practice—how as artists we might create “gatherings” outside of the traditional confines of the art world, as well as projects that challenge the boundaries between art, life and community. Vishnupriya shared some of her work with the class and I immediately connected with her subversive humor and focus on engagement with community."
