From Lagos to Athens has long been part of the CTProductions story. Today, it takes on a new meaning as our Founder and MD Camelia Oros Tsarouchis, attends the Athens Democracy Forum.

Held in association with The New York Times, ADF 2026 brings global leaders and thinkers together under a theme that names the moment plainly - Building Order Out of Chaos - to ask a defining question:

“Why democracy - and how must it evolve to remain fit for purpose in the 21st century?”

These questions run directly through the African markets CTP knows: how institutions earn trust, how technology changes power, and whether democracy delivers. African experience must be part of the answer.

We’ll be following the ideas emerging from Athens, and considering where they might lead beyond the Forum.

A few months on, it’s wonderful to see The World Ahead 2026: Nigeria and the conversations it sparked still travelling.

Our client Harry Daskalakis, CEO of the Business College of Athens, brought his expertise to a forward-looking discussion on the future of education and innovation in Nigeria at the Lagos event.

The evening was a proud one for CT Productions: our fifth consecutive edition produced under exclusive licence from The Economist, and the formal introduction of FOCUS Insights, our new research and market-intelligence platform.

FOCUS Insights is here!

CT Productions’ new series of dedicated, data-led publications and executive roundtables will examine the sectors, policies, investments and market forces shaping economies across Africa, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Launching later in 2026, our first edition - FOCUS Insights Nigeria: The Next Horizon - will focus entirely on Nigeria at a defining economic moment. It will examine where investment is flowing, which reforms are taking effect and which sectors will carry the country’s growth into the next decade.

The publication will combine original research and a proprietary Nigeria Outlook Index with interviews featuring senior executives, investors and policymakers. Alongside it, a curated editorial roundtable in Lagos will bring public- and private-sector perspectives together.

By 2019, Nigeria was already looking at what growth beyond oil could become.

FOCUS on Nigeria: Manufacturing explored one of the sectors at the heart of that ambition, as the country positioned itself as one of the world’s fastest-growing consumer markets. Through companies like The FMN Group, Seven-Up Bottling Company, and Dangote Group we explored the scale and complexity behind a manufacturing industry serving Africa’s largest economy.

Our in-house publication, FOCUS Magazine, has always been driven by curiosity about the people, industries and ideas shaping the world around us. We’re looking forward to where that curiosity takes us next.

Before telling Zambia’s story, and chose to discover it first. In 2018, ahead of filming Zambia: Africa’s Rising Giant for CNN, they stepped away from the production schedule to travel through Zambia, experience the warmth and generosity of its people, and stand at Devil’s Pool on the edge of Victoria Falls.

It was an unforgettable journey that shaped not only the documentary, but also how we continue to approach filmmaking at .films today.

Looking back on ten years of CT Productions, we’re reminded that telling a story is a privilege - one that begins with curiosity, humility, and taking the time to truly understand it.
