The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has commenced loading petroleum products using its newly deployed compressed natural gas (CNG)-powered trucks for direct supply to filling stations. The refinery said the initiative is aimed at easing nationwide fuel distribution, cutting costs, and reducing reliance on third-party marketers. It also noted that the CNG trucks will help lower carbon emissions while ensuring faster and more efficient delivery of petrol and other products to retail outlets. The development comes amid recent concerns over fuel availability and distribution bottlenecks, with the refinery reiterating its commitment to stabilising supply across the country.
