Here’s the thing..

Smooth blends feel productive, but crowds don’t care about clean k**b movements. 🤷‍♂️ They react to song choice, timing, and energy but not technical perfection.

When you only practice clean transitions, you train yourself to play it safe:
• staying in tracks too long
• avoiding risky drops
• prioritizing polish over impact
Try this instead:
Cut tracks early. Drop songs imperfectly. Practice reading the room, not riding EQs.

Energy beats smoothness. Always.

What do you think?

BE HONEST! 😎 Do you feel any of these?

1. Being judged for not being “good enough” by peers or the audience.
2. Not standing out in a highly competitive industry.
3. Losing gigs due to technical mistakes or low crowd engagement.
4. Imposter syndrome - feeling like you don’t deserve your bookings.
5. Playing to a dead or unresponsive crowd.
6. Being forgotten by promoters, clubs, or audiences after a set.

If yes. Here’s how to overcome them:
🎶Focus on growth, not perfection. Judgment fades when you keep improving.
🎶Experiment and develop your unique style. Standing out comes from taking risks.
🎶Learn from every mistake, engage your crowd, and keep showing up. Experience builds confidence.

💡 Remember: Fear is normal, but action is what separates DJs who succeed from those who wait.

Which is your biggest fear? Let me know in the comments 👊🏻

Get perfect acapellas: ⬇️

1. Use AI stem splitters:
Tools like VocalRemover.org, Spleeter, Moises, or vocir.it isolate vocals with impressive clarity.

2. Find studio acapella packs:
Producers often release official acapellas. Look for remix competitions, deluxe albums, and producer forums.

3. Phase cancellation trick:
Line up the instrumental with the full track, invert one channel, and let the phase cancellation pull out the vocals.

4. Clean it with EQ + RX repair:
Remove low-end rumble, de-ess sharp consonants, and polish using iZotope RX or similar cleanup tools.

5. Ask producers directly:
A DM or email sometimes works wonders—producers love remixes, and you may get the real studio stems.

📌Save this and start looking for the best acapellas for your next song.

How do you find your acapellas?

Here’s how to start building your network as a DJ:

1️⃣ Attend events and gigs: Even if you’re not performing, go to shows, festivals, and DJ meetups. Introduce yourself to other DJs, promoters, and venue owners.

2️⃣ Collaborate with others: Work on mixes, remixes, or live sets with fellow DJs or producers. Collaboration opens doors faster than competition.

3️⃣ Engage online: Don’t just post your mixes! Comment on others’ content, share support, and join DJ communities on Instagram, Discord, or TikTok.

4️⃣ Offer value first: Help a promoter, share contacts, or offer to open a set. People remember those who contribute without expecting something immediately.

5️⃣ Follow up consistently: Networking isn’t a one-time thing. Keep in touch, congratulate others on their wins, and stay visible without being pushy.

🚨 Remember: Connections can turn into gigs, collaborations, and even lifelong mentorships. Don’t wait for luck, build it.
