As I sit here waiting at the doctor’s office for my name to be called, I can’t help but use my idle time browsing on fb and see what’s going on and about with people, events and all the other posts everyone else puts into fb. There are posts that brings me back in the past and posts that makes me miss home and everyone else back home. It’s fun to reconnect with family and friends and what a joy it brings when there is an exchange of greetings and conversation. However, there are also posts that just wants me to question why. I don’t really dwell much on the why’s when it comes to fb or social media in general because oftentimes, posts are self explanatory, it displays what really is going on or not. We see the good in people and the other side of people as well. Some
People tend to make fb an outlet for their frustrations. They often display that side of them that are distasteful at least. My quest when I post something on social media is nothing short of what is good and to share an event worth celebrating for. Unfortunately and unavoidably, we are inclined to be in the mix with people who use social media as a platform to show their discontent and frustrations, even when there is nothing or nobody that calls for it. They start it nevertheless like trolls or programs that are configured to spread virus all over the web. In their case, it’s to spoil how people think or look at things and feed the minds that think alike. Taking into account the post I saw today. I am inclined to ask why...?!? Why continue posting or reposting stories like these? Why do we have to find ugliness or misconstrued photos that we see, or compile photos from different times and post them together and make it look bad. Why? Does it make you feel good that we are feeding in the division of how Filipinos think? That instead of working together towards hope or a better future for our country, you chose to make a point to destroy what is good. I think that only proves immaturity in those who post or engage in it. We should be more objective when looking into matters that involve our country. We should unite and see the goodness in others, see their contributions to our nation and move forward, drop that crab mentality that pulls our country apart.

The Color of Money
We often see or hear these line once in a while...”money changes everything”. Does it really changes everything? I don’t believe it changes everything. It would change something, some things or ALMOST everything BUT NEVER everything. Most people will change by the mere sight of it. It changes one’s perception of self and others. It changes life for the better or it can also be for the worst. Money is something that is good to have and have wished we have more than what we have. Sure it can be fun if you have a lot of money but having lots of them can also ruin the fun. Some people change and become irresponsible in the process and some people change in a way that helps his fellow being. For some of us who have less, daydreaming would serve as a temporary escape from all our worries, a temporary high to that fictional truth of “what if’s” can offer. It’s nice to dream.
Some people tend to become arrogant and condescending. Some would choose it over family and friends. That is a sad fact of life. But the world is also filled with good than just bad, there will always be people who do good with it and those who are filled with good intentions. For some of us, money doesn’t change everything at all. Money is just an instrument we can use in our daily lives. We remain steadfast in our values and beliefs, that we can do better things with money without sacrificing our love, values, family and friends.

Stupidity at its best! It seems like Digong is taking the Filipinos as stupid enough to believe this latest stunt is at his best thought, an acceptable one. Comparing his move to a chess game. STUPID! Why you ask? Because in chess you never divulge your intention publicly coz otherwise, it's a bust! You lose the moment you make your opponent know your agenda. But Digong, por dios por santo!!! We, the Filipino people, are not chess pieces "outside looking in", ruling a country is not a game. This is an outright slap on the faces of common tao, it does not only show you thinking that your people, the Filipinos, are stupid as they would easily run along with your bu****it idea but perhaps most of your diehard followers will go along with it...BUT not like me and the rest with our sanity still intact and understands that "delicadeza" is still one of the forefront of Filipino morality. You play and say it like a joke but it's never funny when your toying with our country's future, image, history and laws. You have a lot of resources in your hands to use to go after criminals like these and you say, you're an advocate of the war against drugs so why resort to such a cheap and stupid move as this? Wait for him to commit mistake? Wow! That's one heck of a lot of bu****it, if you ask me. Unless you have a vested interest that you don't want exposed...and perhaps its starting to unravel or blow up in your face.

Never play a chess game with a grand-master. L ike a naughty boy, President Rodrigo Duterte was smiling when he admitted on Friday ...

Maybe it's high time to start preparing for his canonization...literally let's canonize this lunatic! Pero mabait nga naman daw siyang presidente, I hope and pray na sana kunin na rin siya ni lord.😂😂😂

I was looking at the skies as I was coming over here. And I... everybody was asleep snoring. A voice said that you know If you dont stop ___, I will bring this plane down now. And I said, who is this? Of course, its God. Oh, OK. So, I promised God not to express slang, cuss words, he said. Current t...

Have an open mind, having to say okay might be the best or safe thing to say simply because 1. DU30 has no say in the matter. It's up to the Indonesian legal justice system to decide on the case.
2. DU30 has to set an example of his dedication towards the war on drugs.
3. DU30 has been briefed and knows that Sarah Jane is guilty. She did bring illegal drugs into Indonesia, knowingly or not, it's still a case of drug trafficking.
4. It may open a plethora of repercussions affecting both governments stemming from pardoning criminals.
In the case of her being taken off indefinitely out ex*****on, that news was days ago. News can change and taking on the context of the word "indefinitely" is in itself a two way process. It does not mean that it has permanently taken her off the ex*****on list. The hold may be prolonged or it can be shortened and in this case, indefinitely has a more grim reality, a shortened course leading to change, a game changer that may even at this point change. I am inclined to say "let's cross the bridge when we get there" and still be hopeful but the reality may be hard to grasp and it may not even be in the favor of Mary Jane Veloso.

Indonesian President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo said on Monday that Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte had given the green light for the ex*****on of Filipina death row inmate Mary Jane

I have been listening to Cookie's interviews these past few days or week even and I believe otherwise. I think the war on drugs is something we should continue. It's not a war on poor people, it's a war on drugs! It doesn't pinpoint the poor people directly although the bigger percentage comes from that economic bracket. I don't totally agree with how the president runs his term but I'm for this, continue the war on drugs. Round up all these potheads and junkies that's causing menace in our society. They have a choice. They can stop or surrender to the authorities or face the consequences of their actions. I say( to these junkies), stop now because when you get to that certain point, there is no turning back, no reset...it's game over! And it's not just the game, it's your life as well! I say, it's better that the government is going full force on this pursuit. The vigilante situation is another thing, though they might have helped curb the number of these addicts and junkies, their means are of no excuse, it's murder in its plain sense. They should be caught and tried as well. On this aspect, I abhore the president's willingness to bend in any which way, just to meet his goals. It is not right to inject interest on these groups to commit murder, for the common tao to put up arms and retaliate. I say, let the common tao be prepared, with arms or not, to protect(not retaliate) their families and interests against perpetrators who are fueled by drugs to commit heinous crimes. Let the government continue with their efforts to curb the number of these lowlifes!!! I say, let the police forces and the armed forces do what they are trained to do. There will be collateral damages and mistaken identities...I say, as much as we value human lives, it will happen but that is far better than having drugs on the streets and for more people to be subjected to it and cause even more crimes among our society. Let the war on drugs continue! There is a saying that goes..."things will go ugly before it gets better!" We're in a rough spot right now and a society without drugs, is a tough but not impossible, goal to aspire for.

What and where is our country headed to? We have just successfully voted a lunatic to run our country. Now, it's too late to take it back and these are just some hints of what's coming up. As disappointing as it is and it is really...seriously!!! I hope those who voted for this guy realizes the damage this president is causing our country. He should've just stayed as mayor of Davao city, where he can rule in his own make believe world. Do you like where all these are headed or going to? I sure don't!

Did he really say that?!? Sounds like a line from a movie....ni Basha and Popoy? Oh well, I wish I could say..."what goes around, comes around..." But NO!! There is no need to cheat, the common tao, the people, the majority, the country has spoken!" There is no way we're going through that again, just as the saying goes..."fool me once, shame on you! Fool me twice, shame on me..."! The country has thoroughly thought it out and decided to never walk the same path ever again. But regardless of what the meme shows, if it really happened or not, the credit goes to the majority of the Filipino people who conscientiously voted for a more credible candidate who can serve and represent the Filipinos in the most sincerest way possible and without any hint of corruption.

Thank you, Uber! For doing what is right. Apparently, when I took Uber pool last May 7th on my way to work that night, I was unfortunately paired with this driver. It's not Uber's fault, it's just fate, I would suppose. I was originally charged $4.84 for a pool request. I'm not naive that rates do go low sometimes and I feel for the driver and being in a pool request may take my time traveling as I would have other co-riders and destination to contend with. That is fine with me. Also being on a pool request means that the driver has the prerogative to take other co-riders and I don't mind that one too. I will pay what fare was designated to me to take me to my destination. In my case it was $4.84. Several minutes into the trip and while I was on-board, requests were pouring in from his app as I could hear that familiar tone. He would pick up his phone and cancels them, maybe he wants this to be his last trip or he's tired or maybe simply disappointed that my trip costs only $4.84... The next thing I know, he tells me that Uber cancelled my trip while I was on board and tells me not once but twice to rerequest pool so he can pick it up from his app and on both occasions, he failed and thereby incurring me a cancellation fee on one of the cancelled requests(Thankful to Uber for that as well for cancelling that $2.00 fee). What's running to my mind was that this driver was probably trying to get a better deal but that time of night was just a particularly "low fare charging time" and also the reason why he failed to take my request twice. My apologies goes to the 2 other Uber drivers that I have cancelled due to this incident. Realizing that the situation is screwed up, he asked me if I could pay for cash and since I'm on board and I don't want to be dropped in the middle of I-95(freeway), I agreed to his demand. I felt very compromised. He went on complaining that soon he's going to stop working for Uber especially if Uber removes UberX and that Uber is throwing all this discounts to customers. What discount?!? Uber pool is an option. It would normally cost less because the driver has the option to pick 2 more passengers. But whatever goes on in his mind is all up to him. Now as soon as I got to work and in an act of good faith, I gave him $5.00 in cash for the effort he place in to drive me to my destination. My trip was a 20-30 minute ride and when he logged it in for whatever reason, it was over an hour already. I was indeed very disappointed when I got an email the next day as an answer to my complaint that my new "corrected" charge was now, $16.33 and almost 3x the originally agreed pool request charge. So I emailed Uber back again and thankfully enough, Jean Rose of Uber, made the right fare correction. I wouldn't really mind paying that $16.33 ONLY if it were the original pool charge that was designated by Uber. The money isn't the issue I'm trying to push, it's the tricks that this driver pulls out to customers like me. So beware of this driver named RAMSES(mid to late 20's guy) driving a Honda Civic here in the Miami-Dade area, Florida. If he shows up in your Uber app, try your best to be very vigilant of his actions or better yet, cancel him and look for another Uber driver. His unprofessionalism astounded me and I don't want other Uber customers to go through what I went through. And indeed very thankful to this Uber support staff that made my day. Thank you. Let's ride Uber!!!
