A Eucharistic celebration was led by Rev. Fr. Edgardo R. Toribio Jr., School Rector, and Rev. Fr. Christian Kim Mariano, School Administrator, on December 11, 2025, at Gymnasium 1 of Colegio de Sta. Monica de Angat.

In his homily, Fr. Kim emphasized that faith is not only found in bright and glamorous things but is more deeply revealed in silence, suffering, and sacrifice. He reminded the community that in moments of difficulty and quiet reflection, we learn to trust in and rely more on God. Everyone was encouraged to appreciate those who quietly walk with us-the people who continue to support, guide, and help us each day without seeking recognition. He highlighted that simple acts of service and love are powerful expressions of faith lived out through action.

As a community, we were reminded to live out our faith not only through words but through humility, patience, and gratitude. May we carry this message every day by recognizing the value of silent sacrifices and by becoming sources of hope and support to others, especially in times of need.

With every flip of a page, we gain new knowledge, knowledge that expands our capabilities in many different fields, teaching us in a way that is creative yet informative. The national book month shone a light on these books that were slowly being sidecasted. Giving them new importance and a hope of revival.

As we dress ourselves up like knights, kings, and wizards, we celebrate the importance of reading books, the importance of the stories tucked away in every page of our favorite series or movie. Where the creative character and world building of each author is shied and given importance, where the emotions and actions of each character show their intentions clearly, these books have shaped our world throughout the centuries, a library of knowledge that helped societies and kingdoms rise from the ashes. Each lesson taught by these books becomes the backbone of a person’s upbringing and morality.

As we flip through every page of a book, we must always remember that each of those pages means something to create a story filled with knowledge

Despite the challenging days that have passed, the senior high school students can feel relief again, as their Intramurals continue, where the important events occur, and each match becomes a symphony of cheers and sorrow. The champion is here! Where each bounce of a ball, each hit shuttlecock, and each tower destroyed becomes a deciding factor in being the champions of those events. The struggle of being the champions is hard, yet achievable, where the full might of each section is tested, cheers and acknowledgment of their own strengths and weaknesses become a norm. tw teamwork and cooperation among co-players are at their utmost extent, and the excellent ex*****on of each action becomes a step closer to achieving the trophy they want to gain.

No matter the outcome of each event, we must accept the path that destiny gave us, whether it was a victory or a defeat; we must celebrate both, as we've come so far yet so close to attaining the trophies we want. The memories we gain throughout the event is what is the important aspect of what make this Intramurals memorable, each new friend, each new trait, and each new discovery celebrated and remembered during the last few years of our high school life.

A Eucharistic celebration in memorial of St. Andrew Dung Lac and his Companions, the Martyrs of Vietnam, was held in Gymnasium 1 of Colegio de Sta. Monica de Angat. The Mass was presided over by Rev. Fr. Edgardo I. Toribio, the school rector.

In his homily, Fr. Garry noted that some of the Vietnamese martyrs were not Vietnamese by nationality. He emphasized that martyrs throughout the world are not always from the places where they were martyred, such as San Lorenzo Ruiz and San Pedro Calungsod. Martyrs do not merely give up their lives; they are those who recognize the presence of God and remain faithful to Him in both joyful and challenging times. As we honor St. Andrew Dung Lac, his companions, and all martyrs, we continue to remember and celebrate their steadfast witness.

As Monicans, let us learn to appreciate the positive things that happen around us, no matter how small. Just as Jesus treasures every good deed, great or small, may we never forget that God sees everything we do, even our smallest acts of kindness.

Celebrating Family Day 2025 with hearts full of gratitude! 🌟

As we gather with our loved ones tomorrow, let's cherish these precious moments—holding close the love, support, and faith that bind us together, while strengthening our bonds and sharing the blessings we have received.

With the theme 'Kalikasan at Pamilya: Pinagpala kay Hesus na Pag-asa ng Mundo', this day reminds us of the pure love and hope that Jesus brings into our lives and homes.

May the spirit of togetherness and faith guide us always!

F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby presents a chilling depiction of the American Dream and the delusions we hold onto while searching for love and a sense of belonging. In The Great Gatsby, we observe that even abundant “new money” fails to purchase happiness, love, or genuine acceptance, as Gatsby's self-earned wealth can never stack up against the security, privilege, and unspoken influence inherent in Daisy and Tom’s old-money lifestyle. Gatsby gives up everything—his identity, his future, his entire existence—in hopes that Daisy will reciprocate his love, but ultimately he is left alone, illustrating how devotion can turn tragic when it is bestowed upon someone who will not return it. His demise uncovers the harsh truth that we occasionally invest everything in individuals who offer us nothing in exchange, not even after they’ve gone. This sorrowful reality is highlighted in the closing lines of the novel, where Fitzgerald reminds us that Gatsby “believed in the green light,” perpetually pursuing a dream that continues to elude him, and like Gatsby, “we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.”

On October 28, 2025, our school concluded a month dedicated to deepening our devotion to the Holy Rosary. To honor and reflect on this cherished tradition, we held a Living Rosary participated in by students from every department.

Each section selected a student to represent the saint after whom their section was named, and these representatives wholeheartedly embraced and reflected the virtues and character of the saints entrusted to them. The celebration was held in Gymnasium 1, where teachers, students, and parents gathered in prayer and devotion. It began with the Flag Ceremony, followed by an opening liturgy and a solemn procession. The procession made its way throughout the school grounds, passing through each building as everyone prayed with deep reverence.

As Monicans, praying the Rosary should remain close to our hearts, for it is one of our greatest spiritual anchors. May the month of October continue to inspire us to pray, reflect, and live out our devotion to the Most Holy Rosary.

With the CSMA SHS Intramurals 2025-2026 coming to a close, we reflect on the strands that brought the hype from beginning to end. Monicans showed up with unstoppable energy and determination, filling every court, match, and screen with loud cheers and teamwork. These players carried their strand colors with pride, giving their all in every game. The competition has been intense, and the final battles, championship games, and awarding ceremony are set to take place this Monday. These are the players who carried the colors of their strands with pride and pushed through every game with grit and fire. The moment to recognize every strand’s dedication is nearly here!

Anne of Green Gables is a beautiful novel that portrays resilience and the quiet strength that comes with womanhood. Even though Anne Shirley grew up as an orphan and had a tough childhood, she chose to face life with enthusiasm, creativity, and joy. She always found beauty in simple things, even on days when everything felt heavy. That’s what made her so inspiring; she proved that hope can exist even in the simplest moments. Anne is spirited, talkative, and dreamy, and while she often gets herself into trouble, she never loses her warmth or curiosity. I loved her relationships with the people around her, especially with Matthew, Diana, and Gilbert who watched her grow into an intelligent, genuine, and compassionate young woman. Lucy Maud Montgomery didn’t just write a coming-of-age story; she created something lighthearted yet meaningful, exploring trauma, friendship, and love in a way that stays with you. Anne and Gilbert’s relationship felt natural, starting from rivalry and slowly turning into respect, admiration, and love. When I say “to enjoy being a woman,” I mean the way the book celebrates the little joys and challenges of growing up—learning who you are, finding your voice, and understanding that there is strength in softness, imagination, kindness, and resilience. Montgomery shows that womanhood isn’t just about maturity; it’s about embracing your emotions, valuing your dreams, and choosing to see beauty even when life gets hard.
