Kumusta? Sumakses ba?
Research Defended... or offended?

On March 20-21, 25, and 26, the Grade 12 Senior High School students had their research defense—an important opportunity to present studies related to their strands. They invited a panel of professionals whose insights and knowledge proved invaluable as it equipped the students to defend their respective research topics confidently and to emphasize the latter's relevance to the school community. This interactive experience not only improved their presentations but also deepened their understanding of the practical implications of their studies.

Congratulations for making it this far, our Ateʼs and Kuyaʼs! Weʼre almost there. 🎓

ASH WEDNESDAY 2025

Last March 5, 2025, CSMA solemnly commemorated Ash Wednesday, marking the beginning of the Lenten season with deep reflection and prayer. Students, faculty, and staff gathered in the gymnasium to attend the Eucharistic Mass, offering their time to repent and reflect. During the Mass, everyone was reminded that sacrifice during this season is not solely about fasting and abstinence—instead, it can be expressed through almsgiving and giving up personal pleasures, worldly desires, and material attachments.

“Remember that you are dust, and to dust, you shall return.’ - Genesis 3:19

This Bible verse serves as a central reminder on Ash Wednesday, calling the faithful to repentance, humility, and renewal. As ashes are placed on our foreheads, we are reminded of our mortality and the need to turn away from sin and return to God. It is a call to humility, urging us to let go of pride and worldly distractions and focus on what truly matters—faith, love, and service to others. This season of Lent, may we embrace a spirit of repentance, deepen our relationship with God, and live each day with purpose, compassion, and gratitude.

BANYUHAY: Pagsibol ng Bagong Pagkakakilanlan ng mga Mag-aaral sa Departamento ng Senior High School

Mula sa bawat pahina ay mababanaag ang pagbabago — mga bagong kaganapan, bagong hamon, at bagong simula. Sa pagsapit ng takipsilim sa taong pampaaralang ito, kasabay ng pagtatapos ng isang yugto ay ang pag-usbong ng panibagong anyo. Dala ang layunin ng Sinagtala na magbigay-liwanag, narito ang isang e-newspaper na sumasalamin sa paglalakbay ng departamento ng Senior High School sa gitna ng mga pagbabago.

Sa temang BANYUHAY, tinipon sa mga pahina nito ang mga pangyayari at kwentong nagbigay-hugis sa pagkakaisa ng mga mag-aaral — mga alaala ng pagkatuto, mga bagong hamong hinaharap, at mga tagumpay na ipinagdiwang. Ito ay isang paglalakbay sa mga nakalipas na buwan, isang sulyap sa hinaharap, at isang patunay na sa bawat pagbabago, may bagong anyo ng buhay na sumusulong.

Halina’t tuklasin ang mga pahinang naglalarawan sa pagbabagong-anyo. Ang dyaryong ito ay handog sa bawat mag-aaral —- isang patunay na ang bawat kuwento, bawat larawan, at bawat salita ay may halaga.

"Shout out sa mga SHS Monicans diyan! Kumusta finals exam?"

The finals are finally over! After weeks of stress, late-night studying, and endless reviews, we can finally breathe. It’s a strange mix of emotions! Although we're exhausted and nervous about the results, here we are running on little sleep and a lot of hope—and we're also truly relieved that it's finally done. The pressure is gone, yet our minds still replay the tough questions, wondering if we could have answered them better. But now that the exams are done, we can’t help but wonder what’s next…

On February 14, parents, teachers, and Grade 11 students enthusiastically greeted the retreatants upon their return from Tagaste Retreat House. As our ates and kuyas returned, they brought with them not just memories but also a renewed sense of purpose and faith. The warm salubong, symbolizing the school community's love and support for one another in their spiritual journey, was an event filled with smiles, laughter, and hugs.

The retreat was a meaningful experience that helped the retreatants grow in faith and self-awareness. As they returned home, they carried lessons, reflections, and a renewed sense of purpose. Their journey did not end upon leaving the retreat house rather, it continued as they reunited with the school community. The salubong was a warm celebration of their journey, filled with stories of prayer and personal growth.

*✨A Journey of Reflection and Renewal (RETREAT DUMP | 1/3 )✨

The Senior High School students of Colegio de Sta. Monica de Angat embarked on a meaningful retreat at Tagaste Tagaytay Retreat House, filled with moments of prayer, self-discovery, and bonding. Away from the daily hustle, they found peace, strengthened their faith, and deepened their connections with one another.

Through heartfelt reflections, inspiring talks, and moments of silence, they embraced a journey of renewal—rediscovering their purpose and appreciating the beauty of stillness. As they move forward, may the lessons and memories from this retreat guide them in their next chapter.
