Mrs. Florence Obinim, wife of the Founder and leader of the International Godsway Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, has backed her husband’s controversial remarks that he is able to turn into objects and animals.

She was leading a women's fellowsihp session where she backed her husband’s claims of having some spiritual powers which allows him to enlarge or reduce various parts of the body or turn into objects and animals.

Mrs. Obinim quoted some bible verses in her preaching insisting that God had given her husband, ‘Dan’ special powers which should not be toiled with.

According to her, if anyone abuses her husband, he is justified to turn into an animal and bite the person.

A hacking group called "Moroccan MajahiDeen Team" has launched an attack on the official website of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and has planed on attacking other 2 polytechnics.

The group sent a message on the KNUST website warning Ghana to withdraw Her recognition of the front polisario ( a Sahrawi rebel national liberation movement working to end Moroccan presence in the Western Sahara).

Updates on the "Moroccan MajahiDeen Team" page describes their next attack on 2 other Tertiary institutions in Ghana; namely Takoradi Polytechnic and Bolgatanga Polytechnic.

A female student of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) has died after she was stabbed multiple times by her boyfriend.
Medical Administrator of the Pentecost Hospital, Dr. Godwin Attoh, who confirmed the tragic incident, said the student and another young man believed to be a taxi driver were brought to the hospital early Thursday morning with stab wounds.
Despite efforts by doctors, the Level 300 Banking and Finance student, Jennifer Attieku, passed on. The young man has been resuscitated and is responding to treatment, the doctor said.
The two have been reportedly dating for the past five years. The young man was reported to have visited the lady in her hostel.
A medical doctor explained there was a misunderstanding between the two when the young man visited his girlfriend in the hostel resulting the stabbing.
A brother of the deceased told journalists he got a call from the hospital but by the time he got to hospital, she had died.
He said the gentleman had threatened his sister two days ago.
A complaint was lodged with the police, he added.
According to the District Police Commander, DSP Adae, the deceased's boyfriend was arrested and granted bail yesterday.
After this, the young man who had accused Jennifer of cheating, went to her hostel. A scuffle ensued.
He stabbed the lady and stabbed himself in an apparent attempt to commit su***de.
Doctors, however, managed to revive him but Jennifer was not so lucky.

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana has expressed worry over the increasing spate of students using dishonest means to acquire degrees.

Speaking at the 70th graduation ceremony of the Trinity Theological Seminary in Accra, Prof. Ernest Aryeetey said cheating, fraud and plagiarism remain a major setback for many universities in the country.
“….there are far too many Ghanaians who claim to have certificates that they do not have…there are far too many Ghanaians in public spaces who have certificates they acquired illegitimately…” he asserted.
Two hundred and forty students graduated from the Trinity Theological Seminary on Saturday, November 7 with Masters of Divinity, Masters of Theology, Masters of Arts in Ministry and Bachelor of Theology.
Prof Ayeetey also revealed that the University of Ghana is investigating certificates of about fifteen people who are working in the public sector.
He, therefore, urged universities across the country to jealously protect their reputation by stamping out all forms of cheating from their institutions.
“It is time as Ghanaians that we assessed ourselves, ensuring that everybody who goes to our Universities, Polytechnics, and Seminaries are taking away certificates they have worked for,” he advised.

A baby has been pulled alive from the wreckage of a cargo plane which crashed in South Sudan last Wednesday, killing up to 41 people.

The boy was plucked from the mangled fuselage after the aircraft came down near a river, scattering debris and bodies across remote farmland.

He was one of only two survivors pulled from the crash, but the other one later died.






The Russian-made Antonov-12 aircraft crashed along the banks of the White Nile River barely a mile from the airport in the capital, Juba.

Amid conflicting reports, the death toll ranged from 25 to 41 as humanitarian workers and investigators began combing the crash site.

The plane, which had been bound for the Paloich oil fields in Upper Nile state, was registered in Tajikistan and belonged to Allied Services Limited, said Ateny Wek Ateny, a spokesperson for South Sudanese President Salva Kiir.

A spokesperson for the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Tigran Mkrtchian, confirmed five Armenian crew members died.

Besides the five Armenians, a Russian crew member also died, Ateny said.

He said 10 people on the ground were killed. But witnesses and first responders said no one had been present in the swampy farm plot when the plane came down.

“There were 12 passengers and six crew members, including five Armenians and one Russian, on board the AN-12 plane that crashed in South Sudan,” Mr Atney said, adding that all passengers were Sudanese.

A Ukrainian diplomat in Kenya said five Russians were on the aircraft.

“It is known that the plane belonged to a private company and was Russian-made. The cargo plane was carrying out a transportation request of some oil company.

“According to preliminary data, 12 people were on board. Five of them were Russian citizens, the nationality of the rest is being determined,' said third secretary, Alexander Kalinchuk.
