Venture capital inflow into Indian startups experienced a notable decline in the third week of February (February 15-22). Reports indicate a total funding of $184.4 million across 22 deals. This represents a significant decrease compared to the previous week, with reports stating a major decline. While early-stage funding remained active, the absence of substantial deals exceeding $20 million contributed to the overall downturn. Another report indicates that the uneven flow of funding is expected to persist until there is greater clarity on the economic outlook. Ecommerce emerged as the most favored sector among investors.

The allure of working with a startup can often blind professionals to the deeper ethical issues within the organization. My journey with Utsav App began with great enthusiasm, as I ( Sunjoy Krg ) believed I was contributing to a meaningful cause. However, it became evident that some practices within the company were inconsistent with the values they claimed to uphold.

I joined without thorough research, only to later uncover disturbing facts: In 2023, Utsav App faced police complaints for selling non-existent pujas at revered temples like Siddhivinayak in Mumbai and Jagannath in Puri (links to newspaper reports and news channel reports in the comments).

Job seekers and interns must prioritize due diligence - questioning the company's moral compass rather than being swayed by hollow slogans like: Dharmo Rakhsh*th Rakhsh*tha.
