Oklahoma’s Pale Fallen Dead—the one-man blackened sludge nightmare of Decomposed Dave—has dropped two releases that prove there’s no escape from the filth.

Cannibalize The Entitled is ugly. Rushed. Raw. It’s not clean, it’s not pretty, and it’s not supposed to be. The mix is blown out and unpolished because that’s the point—sludge isn’t meant to shine, it’s meant to smother.

Then comes Will You Die For Me? —a two-hour monolith of dark ambient decay and blackened sludge torment. It’s not an album you “listen to.” It’s an endurance test, a black hole that drags you down and refuses to let go.

Pale Fallen Dead started as an idea in 2015, clawed its way into the world in 2023, and has been vomiting filth and grief ever since. With ties to labels like Doomsayer Records, Rotting Sun Records, and Bastard Premonition Tapes, this project stands in the tradition of Khanate, Grief, and the ugliest corners of sludge—but always on its own terms.

It's been a rough time for music lately, especially with us losing more and more of our friends and heroes. I haven't posted till now, mainly due to not knowing what to say, and also knowing that anything I say or have to offer up pales in comparison to so many others that knew Brent Hinds. I knew him since the 90s in ATL when he was giggin' with Fiend Without A Face and Four Hour Fogger. Fogger practiced across the hall from us at The Blackbox. I went to many of their shows at venues and house shows. Later on Mastodon began and they hit the road endlessly and made it to where they are currently. I have been proud of them but I'm mainly proud to call them friends. I hurt with the rest of you over what was a true force of nature, an original, a pain in the ass and a true musician we called Brent.

Doomsayer Records presents: A Tribute to Black Sabbath

The response to the idea has been heard, so here's the details:

We’re putting together a massive tribute compilation honoring the legends who started it all. Bands and artists of all heavy styles are invited to submit their own renditions of Black Sabbath classics. Multiple versions of the same song are welcome, as long as you bring something unique to the table—whether it’s crushing heaviness, experimental twists, or stripped-down rawness. Submissions are open now via email to [email protected] (WeTransfer or Google Drive are welcomed as well). The deadline for submissions is December 1, 2025. Let’s celebrate the dark origins together.

DSR update September 1, 2025:

So much is going on in our small but budding little world and we just wanted to bring you up to date and keep you in the know.

First and foremost the last three compilations we have planned (there will be more very soon!) the deadlines are all set for September 30th and we will be releasing them throughout the month of October. So there's still time to record something new if you like, and as always, previously released tracks are welcomed as they strongly represent your band.

Speaking of releases! We have a few lined up till the end of the year, including but not limited to, Mankind Not Found, Sars, Pale Fallen Dead, Miserably Ever After and a few more surprises and tunes from the Vaults of Doom!

We are also in the finishing stages of getting our own screen printing operation up and running, starting with Doomsayer logo shirts! So keep your eyes peeled for when those become available.

And lastly, we are excited to join with .delusion (Grip of Delusion Radio fame) to create .radio 24/7 of the best classic and upcoming Doom, Sludge, Stoner, Psychedelic artists out there!
