Submissions for RipRap48 are officially open! This year, we are featuring work that grapples with, addresses, redefines, and even pushes past the idea of an obsession. While obsessions are generally viewed as disturbing, they don’t have to be, and we are especially interested in pieces that explore this concept in alternative ways than the macabre— the resistance, the indulgence, the consumption, the torment, and the passion. We are accepting poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and visual arts. Submissions are open until February 28, 2026. Press the link in our bio for more information!

🌸 RIPRAP47 HAS COME TO A CLOSE! THANK YOU FOR THE RIDE 🌸

Firstly, thank you to our amazing team and every effort made to create this journal, whether big or small.

Thank you to our contributors for choosing our journal to submit their brilliant work. Thank you to our faculty advisor, Professor Lisa Glatt, as well as MFA faculty Professor David Hernandez and Professor Susanna Greenberg for their unwavering and extended support.

The greatest thanks to our editor-in-chiefs Terran and Tish. You were two halves of the beating heart of RipRap47, and it wouldn’t have been possible without your hard work and dedication.

Lastly, thank you to everyone who has followed us on this journal. RipRap47 will be available for digital viewing very soon, and we hope you’ll love it.

Onto the next chapter under RipRapYap legends, Anna and Peter! See you in August 🫀
