In wine, and in life, there is so much more than meets the eye. Our favorite vintages start not with the grapes we see, but with the terroir below. “Soil is the origin of the wine—where it’s from, where it’s begun,” said Aldo Sohm, the famous sommelier and author of Wine Simple.

Nowhere will this be more evident than Clink Different Restaurant Week 2025, when lesser-known wines from some of the most famous regions on the planet—Bordeaux and Germany—will take center stage at top restaurants and wine bars.

🌿La Traviata’s Chef Marion Gillcrist made a rustic yet vibrant mix of spicy lamb sausage, zucchini ribbons, and basil pesto, with toasted breadcrumbs adding the perfect bite to every forkful of Al Bronzo Orecchiette.

🍂 Oaxaca in the Fall 🍂
Autumn in Oaxaca is a season like no other—crisp evenings, golden valleys, and the scents of wood smoke, roasted corn, and marigolds filling the air. It’s a time of harvest, gathering, and remembrance, centered around Día de los Mu***os, when families honor ancestors with food, flowers, and mezcal.
At the heart of these traditions is Wahaka Mezcal, crafted in Oaxaca by fifth-generation mezcaleros. Roasted in earthen pits, crushed with stone tahona, fermented in wooden vats, and distilled in copper stills, each bottle carries the soil, sun, and centuries-old wisdom of Oaxaca. Earthy, smoky, floral—every sip tells a story of family, land, and ritual.
This fall, let Wahaka Mezcal be your taste of Oaxaca: a warm, grounding spirit that connects past and present, tradition and celebration. Learn more at wahakamezcal.com
