Joint Security Campaign in Khaitan Targets Private Housing Violations.
Under the direct supervision of His Excellency the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, and in the presence of Acting Director General of Kuwait Municipality, Engineer Manal Al-Asfour, Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Affairs at the Ministry of Interior, Major General Hamed Al-Dawas, and several officials from the participating agencies, the Ministry of Interior carried out an extensive inspection and security campaign on Wednesday in Khaitan area.
The campaign targeted violations in private residential properties that breach legal and regulatory requirements. It was conducted with the participation of the General Department of Criminal Investigation, in cooperation with the Kuwait Fire Force, Kuwait Municipality, the Environment Public Authority, and the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy.
The campaign aimed to address infractions that pose a threat to public safety and negatively impact the environment and the architectural character of residential neighborhoods. Key violations included the unauthorized conversion of homes into unlicensed commercial premises, the illegal subdivision of houses contrary to residential zoning regulations, and the use of structurally unsafe buildings.
The campaign resulted in the detection of several such violations. Legal actions were taken by the relevant authorities to remove the violations and hold those responsible accountable.
The Ministry of Interior affirms its continued commitment to conducting inspection campaigns across various residential areas, in coordination with the concerned authorities, as part of its comprehensive plan to address violations, safeguard public safety and security, and preserve the regulatory integrity of residential areas.
