I am Noelle Scaggs, some of you may know me as the female member of Alternative-Pop band, Fitz And The Tantrums. I created this vision of Adventures With Scaggs in 2014, in an effort to explore the local life of cities I would visit while on tour, or during my spontaneous vacations around the world. After years of keeping a diary of events, I decided to share my future stories and discoveries I f

ind when searching for a good meal. Adventures with Scaggs is a collection personal stories, recipes, restaurant and traveling tips. In addition to my own stories, my partner in crime Ryan Arnold is the, Divisional Wine Director of Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises. Another like minded food enthusiast, Ryan contributes his vast knowledge of wine, explorations and travels throughout Europe, South America and the US., in search of the best producers, their vineyards and bottles. His one belief is that for every event in your life there is a wine fit for it. Our Journey Team Members include:
Artist and Drummer, Andrew Cook, known for his rhythmic talents behind the Pop-Duo Dan & Shay and his band Rocket To The Moon. Andrew shares his food finds while on tour across the US and Europe. Photographer and Director, Pat Tracy, a Nashville resident and frequent flier that has a strong passion for Crafted Cocktails. Had a fantastic three days in Pier 17 May be one of my Top 5 in the city to play with it’s beautiful views of the Brooklyn Bridge and the East River, and neighborhood sprawling with beautiful restaurants, including The Tin Building and it’s gorgeous market. Since I have arrived on this property here in Marittima. I have naturally gravitated towards this part of the garden. It is where I have had my breakfast each morning, hung out with the house pets who like to come here next to me to rest before dinner, and where I’ve had my dinner each night. It’s become my little haven away from home. I finally decided to take a deeper dive into the plants that surround me, shown in this photo; I’ve watched the bees pollinate it everyday unbothered by my presence, and the birds fly over sharing their song, it’s brought a wonderful sense of peace; I rubbed the leaves between my fingers earlier and realized that I recognized their scent but couldn’t put my finger on it. I took a picture and discovered it is geranium. This trip has been about rediscovering myself and relinquishing old habits; as well as meeting new people, and opening myself in a way I haven’t been able to in a long time. I’ve met some amazing humans along the way, reconnected with old friends, and learned a lot about myself on this journey so far. Geranium is considered the oil of Love and Trust. It opens the heart and improves self confidence. It softens anger and feelings of grief, disappointment, and abandonment. It can be used with meditation and affirmations to actively promote healing. It’s also great for balancing hormones, soothing anxiety and depression and reducing inflammation. A wonderful partner on this adventure it seems. ❤️N

Since I have been on the property here in Marittima, I’ve naturally gravitated towards one specific garden where I’ve had my meals each morning, hung out with all of the house pets who come to rest with me in the early evenings before dinner, and where I’ve had dinner each night. It’s become my little haven. I’ve watched the bees pollinate the purple flowers in the plant in this photo, unbothered by my presence, and I’ve watched the birds come and go, sharing their songs along the way. I finally decided to have a deeper dive into the plant, rubbing its leaves between my fingers for the scent; one that I realized I recognized but couldn’t put my finger on it, so I took a picture of it and discovered that it is a geranium plant. This entire trip has been about a rediscovering of myself, letting go of old habits; understanding myself on a deeper level, and opening myself up to new relationships and meeting new people. Something I’ve struggled with over the past year that wasn’t business related. I created Adventures With Scaggs to share how I navigate the world, my love for food, travel and sharing it all with good people, but mostly with myself, what I like to cook, and sharing space created by chefs I happen to know. If you are looking for restaurant critics this is not the page for you, if you are just interested in seeing the world through my little window thank you for being here. Just see this as the journal of Scaggs and hopefully get some great tips out of it. As always with every trip I’ll create a highlight reel available in my profile.
