“Six years later after the decision that others said would destroy his business, Dan reports that revenue has tripled, the customer base has doubled, 70% of his employees have paid down debt, many bought homes for the first time, 401(k) contributions grew by 155% and turnover dropped in half. His business is now a Harvard Business School case study.”

Siembra Sessions: Behind The Mic

Siembra Sessions welcomes artists, activists, game-changers, and community builders to share their inspiration behind the work they do.

In this inaugural session, I get the opportunity to have an in-depth conversation with Juan PaPo Santiago, a prolific creator, and curator in the NYC arts circle whose work has spanned almost two decades.

Inspired by great minds in the Nuyorican and Black Arts movements, this can very well not only be several of the greatest untold stories of our time but a bridge to what's next in the culture post-pandemic.

This session promises to inspire future generations of poets, writers, and activists and should not be missed.

10+ Ways To Monetize Your Brand

WHO AM I?

My name is George Torres, otherwise known as the “Urban Jibaro“ and I am a community builder who presents, promotes, and preserves Latino culture via new media. I currently engage via the blog and several social platforms allowing me to build relationships with new people every day. I have recently opened the doors to partner with brands that are relevant culturally, giving you an opportunity to connect with our readers.

After almost 20 years of working in the digital space, I have decided to share my experience with entreprenuers, small business owners, and creative professionals.

SOOOOO WTF HAPPENED IN 2020?

In March 2020, life changed and the world shut down impacting almost every facet of life as we know it. In just two weeks, my company Sofrito Media Group lost over 80k in revenue from live events, speaking engagements, and brand deals.

As our world starts to crumble, I start talking to many of the people who engage with me on social... and the stories are all the same. While we are contemplating losses, we are all trying to pivot and figure out how we can do, what we were doing virtually.

As I was thinking thru this, I realized that one of the projects I had planned to launch in 2021 with my book made more sense to launch now. So I did...

I invited about 140 friends to join me on Facebook in a group called SIEMBRA INITIATIVE. Siembra... which means "to sow" was a perfect opportunity to hear from real people looking for solutions on how to survive this pandemic. So I started facilitating workshops helping them do everything from audit their social footprint to implementing strategy behind each profile positioning them for growth.

As the weeks have gone by, some of these super-talented "cultivators" have been sharing success stories and their peers have been asking to join the group. As I am writing this, I am currently building a platform to scale and expand the number of people I am able to coach, so I decided in the meantime to create a series of classes where I can help some folks start the process of building their brand.

So here we are, I have some time in September and I am donating 4 classes to the community at large. I hope that you find immense value in what I have to share.
