The better the bite detection the more confident an angler is of having a successful fishing session no matter what method is being used. I was recently sent a beautiful selection of handmade floats by Andy Cowdery of ‪Black Bottom Floats‬ who instructs on his ‪YouTube‬ channel how to produce a fantastic selection of floats, all shapes and sizes. So I was eager to put them to good use and popped over to Bury Hill Fishery near Dorking in Surrey to try them out whilst in search of catching some Tench and Crucians from Milton Lake.

Also in this film I explain how I like to mix up my groundbait and how I keep my worms fresh by the bankside and make them last for a long time as they are expensive to buy from worm suppliers.

The headphones come down today after my Final Show on Ridge Radio I have lost count of the amount of shows I have done since January 2012. At one point I was presenting 3 shows a week and I don't know how I then managed to fit it all in. Where there is a will there is way as the saying goes.
Thank you for all the very kind messages that have been sent to me these past few days on my social media accounts, it has been a pleasure to interact with you all and Yes I will miss presenting my show but I know it is time to end. My love for music and my interests in all the up and coming and independent artists I have championed over the years in all genres of music will continue as ever.
Join me for the very last time around 3pm today (7th July 2024) or on a repeat show Monday 8th July 5-7pm.

Well I guess you could say it is the end of an era for me this coming Sunday (show repeated Monday) when I present my very last Ridge Radio show. It has been a great journey and Thank You all for the lovely and kind comments on my past posts regarding my last broadcast.

Hi everyone just to inform you all that on Sunday 7th July 2024 I will be presenting my very last radio show on Ridge Radio
Since my first broadcast back in January 2012 I have many great memories of my time with Ridge, connecting with fantastic music artists and listeners all over the World of which many I can say have become friends.
Like I said to Mel at Ridge all good things come to an end and this will be the end. As I get older I seem to have less and less time to do other things so have come to the decision to hang up my headphones. I want to concentrate more on my filming exploits for my YouTube channel and I need to put all my efforts into that project. Of course my passion for music will never go away and that is reflected in my films for my channel.
I would like to Thank everyone that has supported my shows over the years, there has been so many highlights.
I hope you can join me on my final show on the 7th July for my final farewell.
