Scholar Of Sin bring the “Omen Of The End Tour” to The Duke this Friday for a FREE night of scorched earth thrash metal. Alongside them, Central Coast fastcore lunatics Disparo ignite the speed and short fuse, while Sydney's Step In Blood and old-school death/thrashers Blood Trails will blow open the doors.

Three blokes from Didcot, South East England, twenty minutes of total bo****ks and enough grindcore firepower to turn the local kebab shop into a war crime.

Public Ex*****on are back with “Still Skint”, their second full-length and a filthy slab of English grindcore and hardcore crossover that sounds like someone emptied a pub fight, a busted amp and a crate of energy drinks into a woodchipper. This is grind with the safety catch removed. Blast beats, filthy riffs, barked vocals, sudden left turns and riffs that come flying in like a brick through the window. The hardcore influence keeps everything swinging from manic speed to neck-snapping stomp. At the same time, the whole thing carries that distinctly English sense of humour where even the apocalypse probably needs a p**s break.

Tracks like “Twos On That” make it abundantly clear that Public Ex*****on haven’t suddenly discovered restraint. There’s no grandstanding, no progressive wankery and absolutely no interest in making this any more respectable than it needs to be. “Still Skint” gets in, causes a fu***ng scene, empties the contents of its pockets onto the floor and f***s off before anyone can call the police.

Formed in 2020 from members of Black Skies Burn, Negative Thought Process, Trading Hands and Korrupto, this South East England three-piece has already taken their racket through Bloodstock, Obscene Extreme and stages alongside names like Na**lm Death, Extreme Noise Terror, Gojira, Vader, Suffocation and Cryptopsy.

But forget the CV. “Still Skint” is where the evidence is. Twenty minutes. No bu****it. Just English grindcore played at terminal velocity with a grin on its face and f**k all money in its pocket.
