Assignment Magazine The official literary magazine of Southern New Hampshire University! Assignment is a literary magazine published annually by Southern New Hampshire University.

It's so named because, in addition to short stories and essays by established and up-and-coming authors, and interviews, it will include creative writing assignments, i.e. exercises, generated by the contributors. Said assignments might be as conventional as, "Write a story entirely in dialogue," or as unconventional as, "Walk across Europe." Each issue will also feature the winner of the annual contest for students of SNHU's Master in Fine Arts program. Our first issue features new fiction from BOOK OF NUMBERS author Joshua Cohen and WHAT'S IMPORTANT IS FEELING author Adam Wilson. There's an essay by Adrienne Raphel and an interview with Kate Christensen. Issue #2 will be released in Spring 2016. Assignment is not accepting unsolicited submissions at this time.
