The Black Fund of Central Texas Why we exist:

The Black Fund exists to unleash the power of Black-led organizations and uplift solutions to benefit the Black community in Central Texas.

Driven by data and community voice, we strive for an equitable, just society that nurtures the growth, economic mobility, and wellness of Black people. Our theory of change:

If we invest in Black-led organizations by creating a fund that helps all Black leaders thrive, then Black-led organizations will scale, we will have an equitable system in which Black people can thrive, disparate outcomes wi

🚨 Grant applications open August 1st — and we want to make sure you’re ready! Whether it’s your first time applying or you’re returning, here are 3 things you can do right now to prepare:

1️⃣ Check your eligibility
Make sure your org fits our focus areas and serves the Central Texas region. (Details at theblackfundcentraltx.org)

2️⃣ Register for a workshop
Our free capacity-building workshops are designed to strengthen your application. The next one is July 23 — don’t miss it!

3️⃣ Secure a fiscal sponsor (if needed)
Don’t have 501(c)(3) status? No problem. You can apply with a fiscal sponsor. Need help finding one? Email us: [email protected]

What an unforgettable evening at The Black Fund of Central Texas’ Community Cookout & Conversation! 🌟

From soulful BBQ to soul-stirring performances, the night was filled with Black joy, deep connection, and community power.

🙏🏽 Thank you to everyone who came out, danced with DJ 5ive, shared space with Qi Dada, celebrated with Dancin’ Jazzi, and soaked in the wisdom of Nakeenya Wilson.

This wasn’t just a cookout, it was a vision for what’s possible when we show up for each other. Let’s keep building together.
