What is the purpose of THE church?
I believe one of its main roles is to continue Jesus’ mission of destroying the works of the devil. Through prayer, through worship, through love and compassion, through preaching, through encouragement, through the gifts that Holy Spirit produces. We all need trained up and equipped to carry on with that mission and Jesus gave us gifts (Ephesians 4) to help us be unified and perfected for that very thing.
