17/04/2025

our dear friend, Glenna Luschei has passed. It is with much sorrow that we pass along the news that Glenna passed away last night at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach. She had been put on comfort care on Monday so she was peaceful and supported by her family.

There is much to sort out with her estate so the family is not planning a memorial service until late June. It will probably be in Carpinteria but that could change.

If you want to send a card to the family the following address is for Erich and Laurie Luschei.
23351 Cobblefield
Mission Viejo CA 92692

Much love,

Marsha & Phil

Kim Young’s article on Lee McCarthy’s censorship battle in Bakersfield
https://www.altaonline.com/dispatches/a63011695/lee-mccarthy-fight-against-censorship/

Kim Young -
I’ve been writing about Lee McCarthy and her art for years and I’m so grateful this piece found at home at LitHub. Lee’s life speaks to invisible labor and what it takes to survive as an artist.
