Rosalia Films specializes in the stories of community members whose voices aren’t often heard, telling them with sensitivity and respect and with the hope of motivating positive social change. Director Chris Farina’s films portray people who live and work in familiar American settings and typically receive little media attention. His work is guided by the principle of respect for the individuals portrayed, allowing them to tell the stories of their lives and their community in their own fashion.

A master electrician taught me how to wire a commercial building.

A master HVAC tech showed me how to handle ductwork.

My painting skills? Next level.

Tile work? Never touched it before—now I could do it with my eyes closed.

A master carpenter taught me trim and crown molding. And that’s just the start.

What’s my hope for the future? To be a man who gives back to his community.

At The Bridge, it’s not just about second chances—it’s about equipping men to stand tall, provide for their families, and build the kind of life they never thought possible.

And when they’re ready—they give back.
Because true transformation always multiplies.

Jay is one of the fabulous people of the Bridge Ministry who work to save lives of men who are dealing with life threatening addiction issues.

Meet Jay James —Assistant Director of The Bridge Ministry in Buckingham, VA.

With a background in radio and a passion for people, Jay brings energy, empathy, and leadership to every corner of The Bridge. He’s been instrumental in helping men enter the program, rebuild their lives, and rediscover their purpose.

Whether he’s communicating with applicants or talking to the community, Jay’s impact is felt far beyond the walls of the ministry.

We’re grateful for his leadership—and the life-changing work happening every day at The Bridge.

You are not stuck.
You are not sentenced to your past.
And you are absolutely not disqualified by your worst chapter.

The beauty of community is that it doesn’t erase your story—it hands you the pen and says, “Let’s keep writing.”

Yes, there may be pain.
Yes, there may be regret.
But there is also healing and a future filled with purpose.

You can rewrite your story.
Not by pretending the past didn’t happen, but by refusing to let it have the final word.

So breathe deep.
Pick up the pen.
And start the next chapter—with courage, with hope, and with The Bridge.

Here, change runs deeper than a checklist or a classroom.

It’s about building men up from the inside out—restoring dignity, purpose, and the practical skills to live it out every single day.

Because when you change the man, you break the cycle.

The Bridge Ministry for years have changed and saved the lives of men dealing with life-threatening addiction issues. Please consider supporting their wonderful work.

Read that again: 85%. That’s not just a number—it’s a reality for millions of men and their families.

At The Bridge, we believe breaking this cycle starts long before a prison gate. It starts by equipping men to heal, rebuild, and step into a future that doesn’t lead back behind bars.

We don’t just treat addiction, we restore purpose. We don’t just address the crime, we transform the man.

When you invest in second chances, you don’t just change one life. You change communities. Families. Generations.

👉 Join us in rewriting these statistics, one transformed life at a time.

Very happy to share great news about fulfilling the mission of my current film, A Bridge To Life. This is a portrait of the great Charlottesville-based organization The Bridge Ministry, which for decades has been changing and saving the lives of men who have had life threatening drug addiction issues. The mission is to shine a light on their wonderful work to both generate support for the Bridge Ministry and to teach communities across our country how to resolve our addiction crisis. Their wonderful work is built on compassion and respect for the men who attend their camp in Buckingham County. And the great news is that American Public Television has agreed to provide the film to PBS stations across the country and they have received a wonderful response. First the World Channel has agreed to air the film on their 203 member stations. Also every station in Virginia has agreed to broadcast the film. Plus many other stations in America have agreed to air the film and this includes key stations based in New York City,Los Angeles, Chicago, Baltimore,San Francisco,San Diego,Miami,Saint Louis, Portland,Seattle, and many more. Broadcasts are scheduled to begin in September,2025 The one major problem I am facing is hoping to get organizations, businesses or foundations to become underwriters attached to the broadcast to help cover the expenses necessary to make the broadcast happen. If anyone is interested or has connections please contact me at

Please feel free to share. Thanks
