What's good people!

New logo!

HUSTLE XERTIFIED is dedicated to inspiring and empowering people to hustle through Hip Hop! This is a page where Hip Hop still lives, but with a focus on HUSTLERS AND THE HUSTLE!

What started out as a review channel for Hip Hop albums, we grew HHX into a platform that gave artists an opportunity to share their stories, perform and get paid.

Now with a new name and stronger focus, our page & channel highlights Hip Hop artists (in the YYC and beyond) and goes through their hustle, their process and how they make ways in the city and abroad! Enjoy! Peace ✌️👊

A note from :

Hip Hop spoke to an existence of people who were being oppressed by society in the USA. There was a social justice aspect to it

For me, Hip Hop represented the underdog story, the ones that were counted out and left behind and still came with a solution to solve their problems, come together and achieve success, despite the hardship.

When I was young I thought the source of my problems were from greater societal oppression. I didn't know any better than what school taught me.

As I got older, i realized that my struggles were less societal and more about a personal experience. My reaction to adopt Hip Hop, and my desire to be successful drove me to hustle. Hustlers spoke to my desires to be free, great and successful, despite the adversity and they spoke to the entrepreneurial, work hard spirit I grew up with from my dad. That's where hustle came in.

For me and my experience, it was more about overcoming a lot of personal and family adversity and trying to achieve success and Hip Hop for me was the conduit, the hope and the attitude that gave me the belief that I could overcome adversity. It spoke closest to my experiences, my attitude and how I chose to react to the adversity in the modern world. At the same time, I don't think the source of my struggles came from the same source of struggles that Hip Hop spoke to,

Which is why I've decided to transition this page into a page where music and culture still lives, but with the mission of the HUSTLE company, to inspire and empower hustlers.

Thank you for anyone who's rode this journey out and to my Hip Hop fam here in Calgary, much love and appreciate all the support since day 1 🙏

About Us

HipHop Xertified is a multi-media company that strives to push the conversation forward about Hip Hop. Our goal is to shine the light on those within the culture and beyond, and share the untold stories of some of the best minds and creatives to have blessed this world with their contributions.

HipHop Xertified started out as a small review channel in September of 2014 by Esteban Xound. Under the name “HipHop Heads”, we set off to continue the discussion of Hip Hop music & culture in a raw way. With the help of Owen Dullaghan behind the camera and the support of friends & family such as Juan Jimenez, Sebastian Olaya, Dustin Vinet, Ethan O’Malley, Daniel Dominiak, Jhonson Garzon & many others, the channel was able to reach 500 subscribers in under a year of operation.

In August of 2015, the channel went through some transitions and eventually would be taken down by request of Esteban Xound at the end of the year

Fast forward to 2018, Esteban Xound restarted the channel and began to release reviews once again from his phone under the name “Xound Movement”. At the beginning of 2019, we would change the name again, this time to what we now know as HipHop Xertified. Expanding to podcasts, video segments, live events & music premiers, HipHop Xertified is now fully functional multi-media platform.
