Happy New Year...and thanks for all the kind words I've heard from you over the past few weeks, I'm very grateful and I'm not gone yet - considering some options that may open up - you'll hear about it here first. In the meantime, this is the best new years song I've ever found and I found it at a very early age - probably around 7 when I traded an old radio for a big stack of 78's. Among them was an original record of "All I Want For Christmas (Is My Two Front Teeth)". When I flipped the disc over to play the 'B' side, this is what I heard...It made me laugh then and it still makes me laugh today. I hope you're having a great beginning to 2026 and I hope I can start it off with a laugh. What's that? The church burned down?...
Happy New Year... - Steve

Hope this is your best holiday week ever…
This weekend is my last 70’s with Steve Goddard. I’ll close it out with a spotlight of ‘Year End Hits’, but what will be the very last song I play? There are a lot to choose from along this aisle in my archive room, and the song I chose is somewhere in there. Any guesses as to what it is? See you on the radio…

Growing up around the Tulsa area, David Gates was always a big deal even before he formed Bread. He’ll be celebrating his 85th birthday on the 11th, so I’ll be playing a good postion of his hits with the group as well as some of his solo hits. He has an amazing story about a misprint in the Tulsa paper concerning ‘Make It With You’, and another on how he cane to write ‘If’ sitting at his kitchen table. Hope you’ll join me…
Some sad news…
After almost 23 years, The 70’s with Steve Goddard will be coming to an end on December 31. The company that distributes my shows made the decision not to continue the association. After three months of trying to secure another distributer I’ve come up dry and have to accept the fact this chapter will be closing.
I don’t know where the next chapter will lead but I will keep my 70’s and Goddard’s Gold pages active with weekly posts and any updates. With four shows left, I appreciate your continued support. Thanks a million and I’ll see you on the radio…
