Nov 3: Senior Poltical Leader and Ex MLC Yasir Reshi has extended his deepest condolences and heartfelt sorrow upon the sad demise of the Prominent Party worker Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat Of Sk Bala Sonawari.

*J&K govt prohibits employees from participating in demonstrations, strikes*
*Warns of action in case any employee is found involved in organising strikes*
Srinagar, Nov 03 : Jammu and Kashmir government on Friday restricted employees from participating in any kind of demonstrations and strikes in favour of their demands and warned of strict action in case any employees is found involved in such demonstrations.
According to an order, it has come to fore that some employees are resorting to demonstrations and strikes in favour of certain demands.
The government has invoked Rule 20(ii) of the Jammu and Kashmir Government Employees (Conduct) Rules, 1971, which states that no government employee shall resort to or in any way abet any form of strike in connection with any matter pertaining to his service or the service of any other government employee.
Per the order the provision of law is not merely declaratory in nature and shall definitely entail consequences in the event of any such employee found immersive in such acts.
“Therefore, all Administrative Secretaries are requested to circulate these instructions to employees in their respective Department(s) to desist from all such uncalled for demonstrations and strikes: an act of serious indiscipline and misconduct.”
It added that the Departments are also impressed upon to take strict disciplinary action against employees found involved in organising demonstrations and strikes.

The Jammu and Kashmir People’s’ Conference (JKPC) President Sajad Gani Lone convened a crucial meeting with prominent workers and office bearers from the Trehgam constituency. The meeting, hosted at his residence in Handwara, witnessed an enthusiastic turnout of dedicated workers and office bearers. Former MLA Kupwara and senior PC Adv Bashir Ahmed Dar, DDC Chairperson Kupwara Irfan Pandithpori, Abdul Ahad Kashmiri, DDC Kralpora Adv Masrat, Youth District President Mansoor Banday, Youth District Vice President Rahil Dar, BDC Keran, BDC Melyal Fareed Khan attended the meeting. KUPWARA, JULY 23: In view of prediction by Meteorological Department for rain showers upto 25th July 2023, the Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan today issued a Weather Advisory for the people of the district in general and those residing in the areas like Keran, Karnah, Machil, Budnamal, Jumgund, Nowgam, Kumkadi and those living on the periphery of different nallahs/rivers that are prone to floods, sloppy areas of the district. The people have been advised to refrain from venturing in avalanche prone areas till the improvement of weather.

47-year-old man comes under sand mound, dies in Handwara
Handwara, Jul 18 (GNS): A 47-year-old man died after coming under a sand mound in Rajwar area in Handwara of north Kashmir's Kupwara district this afternoon, officials said.
They told GNS that one Ghulam Ahmad Mir, son of Ghulam Hassan Mir, resident of Chaki Sarmarg was alongwith several other labourers when a sand mound caved in trapping him inside at Golipora Rajwar. "The onlookers after strenuous efforts rescued and took him to District Hospital Handwara where he was however declared as brought dead on arrival", they said.
Confirming it, a police official told GNS that they have taken cognisance of the incident. (GNS)

Sajad Lone accuses J&K administration of creating homelessness | KNO “New Delhi shouldn’t be represented by bulldozer in Kashmir but by love and compassion; Current unelected administration should leave bigger decisions on elected regime” Srinagar, Feb 06 (KNO): Accusing the Jammu & Kashmir administration of creating homelessness, Peoples Conference President Sajad Gani Lone on Monday said that “New Delhi shouldn’t be represented by bulldozers in Kashmir, but by love and compassion.” Addressing a news conference here, as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Lone said the objective of the ongoing eviction drive seems humiliation of Kashmiris. “What is the objective of the government? Do they want to retrieve land or humiliate people? I think humiliation is more important for them,” he said. Lone said that the current administration in J&K is not an elected regime and should leave bigger decisions for an elected government. “(President’s Rule) It is a temporary arrangement. They cannot take decisions on behalf of the people of J&K. They cannot take all decisions. They are not elected by the people,” Lone told reporters here. Lone, who was flanked by senior PC leaders Peerzada Mansoor Hussain and Muhammad Ashraf Mir, said that the J & K administration is inventing homelessness by razing down homes of poor people. “They are not giving any notice. The law of the land cannot be violated,” he said, adding that only poor are suffering due to the ongoing eviction drive in J&K. “I want to ask my Prime Minister who is the Prime Minister of poor people whose houses are demolished. *Boost to PC in Central Kashmir: Top NC leader Manzoor Wani to join party* Srinagar, Dec 11, KDC: In a major boost to Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Conference(JKPC) in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district, top National Conference leader Manzoor Ahmad Wani is joining the party on Sunday. Manzoor, who resigned from the post of NC's vice-president central zone, had contested the 2014 assembly election from the Khansahib assembly segment and secured 15397 votes.
