Thank you to and for taking the time to bring awareness to the issues public media is facing currently. With such an immense loss in government funding, BPM is struggling to keep our stories alive. Help us this to fuel the future of Blacl Stories by donating as little as $5. Link to the full story and to donate in our bio

Tomorrow on Giving Tuesday, we’re asking you to stand with us.

Public media funding was cut by Congress — and BPM took a $1.8M hit. That cut means fewer emerging filmmakers supported, fewer immersive stories funded, fewer Black stories preserved.

We refuse to let that happen.

That’s why we’re calling on our community to help us raise it back — $5 at a time.

If BlackPublic Media shaped you…
If representation matters to you…
If you want future generations to see themselves on screen…

💛 Donate $5 on Giving Tuesday.
Together, 1.8 million of us can protect our legacy.

🚨 BPM isn’t going anywhere. But we need your help now more than ever

Public media was just robbed of $1.1 billion in federal funding—and Black Public Media lost $1.8 million. That means fewer grants, fewer films, fewer independent Black stories.

But there’s power in numbers. If 1.8 million people donate just $5, we can fill the gap and keep fueling the future of Black voices.

🚨 URGENT: Public Media is under attack.
Tomorrow, factions in Congress will vote to eliminate public media funding — including funds already allocated for 2026.

If this passes:
- Local PBS stations will lose critical funding
- Pre-K educators and caregivers will lose free educational tools
- Independent media makers will lose grants that support entire creative teams — from gaffers to editors
- Local jobs and small businesses will be impacted
- And free, public access to diverse, community-driven storytelling will be at risk

We need YOU to act NOW. Call your Representative and demand they : https://bit.ly/442GZDd

Public media isn’t just television — it’s education, it’s local news, it’s cultural storytelling, and it’s an investment in the creative economy.
