Fact-Check: UAE Golden Visa for Indians (2025 Update)

Claim:

"Indians can now get UAE lifetime residency by paying AED 100,000 (₹23.3 lakh) without investing in property or business."

Verification from UAE Official Sources:

1. ⁠UAE Government Portal (gov.ae)

No recent update (as of July 2025) mentions a "non-investment" Golden Visa for Indians at a fixed fee of AED 100,000.

Existing Golden Visa categories (2025) still require:
Investment (AED 2M+ in real estate/business) OR
Specialized talents (scientists, doctors, artists, etc.) OR
High-earning professionals (monthly salary ≥ AED 30,000).

Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA)
The ICA's Golden Visa page (link) does not list a "payment-only" option for Indians.
Dubai Immigration (GDRFA)

The 10-year residency (Golden Visa) rules in Dubai (link) also confirm investment/skill-based eligibility, not a flat fee.

UAE Media (Gulf News, Khaleej Times)
No reports of a pilot program for Indians/Bangladeshis offering lifetime residency without investment (July 2025).

Years of studies and negotiations

Delhi's Scrapping of 10 Year old policy has all WRONG FOUNDATIONS.

⚠️ Economic Burden on Lower Middle Class:

Many small business owners, cab drivers, delivery boys, and working-class families depend on old vehicles. Replacing them is financially stressful.

Even well-maintained vehicles get scrapped purely based on age, irrespective of their condition.

⚠️ Second-hand Market Collapse:

Older vehicle resale value has plummeted within Delhi NCR. Many owners are forced to sell their vehicles at scrap rates.

⚠️ Implementation Loopholes:

Fake NOC (No Objection Certificates) for transferring old vehicles to other states is becoming a black market practice.

Many vehicles with out-of-state plates continue to ply illegally in Delhi.

⚠️ Scrapping Infrastructure Challenges:

Delhi lacks proper scrapping facilities to handle lakhs of old vehicles in an eco-friendly way.
•Often, parts of scrapped vehicles re-enter the black market.
