One of my favorite things about being an artist + designer is getting to be inspired by other artists. At the Plaza Art Fair this weekend, I found myself completely lit up by the creativity pouring out of Kansas City (and beyond).

When you see work that makes you pause, feel, or rethink what’s possible—it reminds you what art is really about: connection, perspective, and expression. That’s also the heart of what I do —helping people see themselves and their spaces in a new light, with beauty that feels both personal and powerful.

I’ll always share the artists that spark something in me, because creativity isn’t meant to be kept in a box—it’s meant to ripple. ✨

But, truly life and motherhood often asks you to give, give, give until you feel like you’ve lost pieces of yourself. Your energy, your style, your sparkle — the essence of what makes you you — can fade.

Just like flamingos, we can reclaim our vibrance by nourishing ourselves: through joy, rest, creativity, friendships, beauty, style, and love. Getting that color back isn’t frivolous — it’s survival, and it’s powerful.

Just as fall strips things down to their essentials, it’s also a time for us to shed what isn’t working and lean into what restores their vibrance.

Pink in fall becomes the symbol of refusing to dim the light, but let it shine as bright as possible. 🫶🏻

What a weekend in my hometown of Oklahoma City. Going back for my high school reunion blew me away in the best way. I thought I knew where life had taken everyone thanks to social media—but nothing compares to being there in person, hearing the stories, and seeing how these teenagers I grew up with have built such full and beautiful lives. Everyone is still the same in the most wonderful ways. 💚

After a week like this one, I’m holding tight to the joy, the nostalgia, and the reminder of how good it feels to reconnect with the people who shaped those early years.

Doing the work, saying no to what wasn’t aligned, and learning to enjoy my own company set the stage for my real-life romcom.
