🚨 BREAKING: GOV. ABBOTT BANS RED FLAG LAWS IN TEXAS 🇺🇸

Texas just became a FREEDOM STRONGHOLD once again.
Governor Greg Abbott has officially SIGNED a bill BANNING red flag laws across the Lone Star State. 🔥

No more:
❌ Seizing guns without due process
❌ Unconstitutional gun grabs based on accusations
❌ Attacks on the 2nd Amendment by woke politicians

Abbott made it clear:
TEXANS’ RIGHTS WILL NOT BE COMPROMISED.

While blue states trample on freedoms, Texas is leading the way in protecting liberty, self-defense, and the Constitution.

👏 Well done, Governor.

🇺🇸 FORT HOOD IS FORT HOOD 🇺🇸

Yesterday during his speech at Fort Bragg, President Trump announced that Fort Hood will again be known as FORT HOOD!

Fort Hood was originally opened as Camp Hood in 1942, named after General John Bell Hood who led the Texas Brigade during the Civil War.

As of June 2025, this Central Texas military powerhouse serves as home for over 65,000 soldiers and family members—including III Armored Corps and the 1st Cavalry Division. We are blessed In House District 59 to represent a segment of the installation and many of its soldiers, families, and retirees.

Despite a legacy of 80 years of training the absolute finest of American soldiers, Fort Hood was among several southern military bases ordered renamed during the Biden administration as part of a woke effort to dishonor all base namesakes with ties to the confederacy. The name ‘Fort Hood’ was never about the perpetuation of confederacy, but about producing the bravest, finest fighting soldiers in the world, trained on equipment and instruments of American might!

Affectionately nicknamed The Great Place, the tremendous impact of Fort Hood extends far beyond military prowess to its status as a significant economic driver for the entire region.

In insisting on a political renaming, the Biden admin by implication devalued the proud legacy of decades of men and women who have trained at and deployed from Fort Hood—and created at best awkwardness, and often outright rancor, in the communities surrounding the base who hold that proud legacy in highest esteem and could repeatedly be heard issuing corrections of “Fort Hood!” in response to mentions of the substituted name.

Yesterday President Trump announced that seven southern military installations will revert to their original names, rechristened after distinguished soldiers with the same last name, but not named after confederate generals.

I am thrilled to see The Great Place return to FORT HOOD, named in honor of Distinguished Service Cross recipient Col. Robert B. Hood for his actions during World War I who, amid intense shelling near Thiaucourt, France, directed artillery fire under enfilading machine-gun fire. After his gun crew was lost to enemy fire, he rapidly reorganized and returned fire within minutes, restoring combat capability.

Per the Army press release, the Secretary will take immediate action to implement the redesignations.

As we head into the weekend celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the Army:

THANK YOU to our men and women in uniform, may God bless and protect the soldiers and families of Fort Hood, and may God Bless the USA! 🇺🇸

All towns need to do this.
