As we prepare to say goodbye to HQ Complex tomorrow night, the club where the whole Hype chapter started over 5 years ago it seems only fitting to finish things off where they all began. Tomorrow night the 5 founding members of Hype have the chance to all return to our original stomping ground to say one final goodbye to not only the club but also to our baby - Hype Recordings.
While we are sad that this chapter is coming to an end the timing seems right to finalise operations for both HYPE and our sister label JCKD. We are proud to have worked with so many amazing people and to have had the chance to see so many of the artists we have worked with go on to become such dominant players locally and internationally.
Massive S/o to all the artists we have had the pleasure of working with on both Hype and JCKD, all the local and international artists that played our shows, all the clubs that hosted our nights and put up with our debauchery (especially HQ & Electric Circus) and most importantly to everybody who listened and danced to our music, partied at one of our shows or supported us as artists or friends over the last 5 years. You are the real MVP.
Tomorrow night we get the chance to fly the Hype flag one last time, as we originally were in our original home - Soho Garden. Hope to see you there. x
