As this is our first time sharing our lives with Staffy Bulls here are some things I have learned about life with these dogs:
1. Never again will you go anywhere and not have these dogs be a part of what you’re doing, whether you like it or not. The sooner you can accept that they will be in, on, under, around and on top of everything you will ever do again the happier you will be.
2. There will also not be a single moment you spend on any piece of furniture that they will not be physically attached to your body, most likely on top of it. Your only hope is if there are other people in the room you might be able to convince them to visit.
3. You will never again be safe in any walking situation. It will be as if you are walking with a school of fish swimming in and out of your legs. And even when you think you’re paying attention you will still see your life flash before your eyes once a day. If one day you hear one of us hasbroken a hip you will know why.
4. Do not walk into a room or space and think there is single thing there that they won’t consider perfectly fine to jump on top of, over or through…… like kitchen tables, counters, out of the car and into the drive through window, etc
5. I have laughed more with these dogs in the year and a half that they’ve been with us than I have in probably the last decade. They are joy personified.
