BREAKING: Auburn and Notre Dame have agreed to a home-and-home in 2027 and 2028. The 2027 game is in South Bend and the 2028 game is in Auburn. The schools have never played in football.

The series adds a high-profile SEC opponent for Notre Dame at a time when many schools are cutting back on non-conference games. The talks about the game factored into Auburn’s decision to move the Baylor game to a neutral site next season, which resulted in at least a $4 million payout.
