Title: Legacy and Emerging Pollutants and Their Effects through the Lens of Environmental Management

🔗 Read here: https://tinyurl.com/2222b5hk

Industrialization and urbanization have introduced both legacy and emerging pollutants into our environment, impacting soil 🌱, animals 🐾, and aquatic ecosystems 🐟.

This book provides insights into:

• Advanced monitoring methods
• Pollution effects on organisms and ecosystems
• Strategies for environmental mitigation

An essential reference for environmental scientists, researchers, and policymakers seeking to understand and manage pollutants.

In pursuing global economic development, the necessity of efficient environmental protection to achieve sustainable development is sometimes forgotten. One aspect of this problem includes expansive industrialization and urbanization, which introduce both legacy and emerging pollutants into our envir...

🌿💊 Herbal remedies are often seen as “natural”, but when combined with chemotherapy, could they increase side effects?

📖 In the article Phytotherapy and Drugs: Can Their Interactions Increase Side Effects in Cancer Patients? by Dr. Sarah Allegra et al., researchers explore the impact of commonly used herbs such as chamomile, sage, and ginger on treatment outcomes.

👉 Read more here: https://www.mdpi.com/2108106

Background: The use of herbs to treat illnesses was common in all historical eras. Our aim was to describe the phytotherapeutic substances that cancer patients use most commonly, and to determine whether their use can increase side effects. Methods: This was a retrospective and descriptive study con...

🐟Plastic Contamination in Farmed Seabass and Seabream from the Mediterranean

A study by Prof. Camilla Della Torre and colleagues found plastics in 38% of seabass and seabream from Mediterranean aquaculture facilities.

Higher contamination was observed in Turkey and Greece compared to Italy.
Plastics were mostly in the gastrointestinal tract, but traces were also in the muscle — the part we eat.
Sources may include land-based pollution, open sea debris, and aquaculture practices.
