Super hyped to find this clip. Even though this was never used, it’s one of my favorite things I’ve ever filmed of Chad. This was early on in filming with him. Cal Poly, SLO. That’s the Gonz double set from “Video Days”. I believe Frank Hirata fs 180’d it too in maybe a SMA video? Gonz was the first to ollie it as far as I know. The cool thing about this line is that this is where I learned how to skate. I skated Poly religiously during my high school years. It’s an epic skate playground. So fast forward several years after I had moved away to SB and here I was, back at my stomping grounds and filming The Muska skate a rail that I could only dream about and that as far as I know, had never been hit ’til this day. It was soooo hard to film this too. Going from a dead stop to jamming across the street and ollieing up that big ass curb, and then slamming on the brakes so I didn’t do tumbling down the stairs. I remember being so frustrated that I couldn’t keep up. Ha. All that aside, this is still top of the heap of things I filmed of Chad over the years. Happy I finally get to share it.
