Today, me and my eldest son had a disagreement. Let me tell the truth an argument. It got heated but I had to stop and think about what was really going on. We got off the phone and I wanted to say some mean things because I was angry but then I thought about the word that tells us "we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Ephesians 6:12. I started laughing and realized the enemy was the root cause of the confusion and I refuse to feed into it. I started speaking what I wanted to happen and I spoke positive words over my son and the situation and I let it go. About 15 mins later he called back and apologized. He realized what just happened was unnecessary and how we need each other now more than ever. I accepted his apology and told him what I had just spoken over him and his brother. I instantly gave God a praise because if you know my son he can be very stubborn and may not call back for a while.
Moral of the story
If you really believe in the word and follow it, the word works. God wants to use us as believers to testify and be character witnesses for Him. God wants everyone to experience His love but also his perfect will. Be not conformed to this world but be transformed to by the renewing of your mind that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2
When we choose to respond His way we show His perfect will. I am so grateful to know Jesus and the word for myself. The more I apply its principles and seek for wisdom, it is changing my life one decision at a time.
