Well folks, it’s been a long time coming but we now find ourselves at the end of our journey… for now.

In 2024, Cinema Shock embarked on a complete watchthrough of David Lynch and Mark Frost’s groundbreaking TV series Twin Peaks.

Each host brought a unique perspective to the show: Justin, a longtime fan who has revisited the first two seasons multiple times; Gary, less experienced, who’d only seen the show once and only up through the reveal of Laura’s killer; and Todd, who had never seen the show before and came in as a Lynch skeptic.

It’s been a journey full of ups and downs, with great conversations about television history, storytelling, and the lore Lynch and Frost built across the series.

And now, we reach a conclusion of sorts. In the final episode of Fire Shock With Me Season 2, we devote our entire conversation to “Beyond Life and Death,” the last episode of Twin Peaks to air for 25 years.

Directed by David Lynch, this harrowing, hallucinatory finale takes us deep into the heart of the Black Lodge and delivers one of the most haunting final scenes in television history. Strange, surreal, terrifying, unforgettable — everything Twin Peaks was always meant to be.

Fun fact: The studio wanted to change the ending. Fincher and Pitt said they’d walk unless the box stayed in the film.
