We'll also hear the first single from The Mamas and the Papas which was released this week in 1965. I'll also play a couple of tunes featuring Steve Cropper on guitar. Cropper, who died last week at the age of 84 was one of the original members of the great STAX Records house band, Booker T. and the M.G.s' We'll also hear songs from recent releases by Mavis Staples, The Onlies, Vickie Vaughn, Joan Shelley, Meredith Moon, and Valerie June.
