City Budget Workshop
August 20, 10 am to 4 pm
At the Willits City Council meeting on August 13 (too late to get into Willits Weekly's August 14 edition), the City announced a 2025/26 budget workshop was scheduled for Wednesday, August 20 from 10 to 4 pm at the City Council Chambers at City Hall.

As per the agenda summary, "This is a budget workshop to review anticipated appropriations for the General fund, Measure
K fund, Traffic fund and the Transportation Tax fund. At the June 25 meeting City Council, under advisement from
staff, voted to authorize the continuation of municipal expenditures until the city can adopt a budget for the Fiscal Year of 2025-2026. What is being presented now for review is the following budgets.
• General Fund
• City Council/ Clerk
• Administration
• Finance
• Human Resources
• Police
• Community Development
• Services & Facilities
• Measure K Fund
• RMRA & SB-1 Traffic Fund
• Transportation Tax Fund
The remaining Special Revenue Funds, Enterprise Funds and the Construction In Progress (CIP) Funds will be
discussed separately."

No WCC Budget Workshop Tomorrow!
Willits City Councilmember Larry Stranske told Willits Weekly today that the All Day Budget Workshop for Wednesday, ,July 16 that WCC members had agreed to schedule at their June 26 meeting has been postponed until August.
Councilmember Stranske said the reason for the postponement was that Financial Director Manuel Orozco would not be ready by July 16 to provide the budget numbers - the unaudated fund balances for all enterprise funds and the general fund - that Councilmember Bruce Burton had said the counicl would need for a workshop on the 2025/26 budget.
