Hi Folks this is a big ask this page owner has been put on a voting form to be the best community member for the very first time os there any chance you could all please vote for number 43 please and thanks ***25 Years of STAR Countdown - Shining STARs Voting***

People have been nominating community members who have positively impacted their time at the Project for the last few weeks. We've read so many wonderful stories!

More than 25 community members have been nominated (as we expected), so we would like to ask you to vote on which person has had the most significant impact on you! We have removed nominations for current and previous members of staff and volunteers who have only engaged with us as volunteers (they'll be getting their own surprise!)🥰

To ensure we are not publicly naming people who attend STAR, we are just offering their first name and the initial of their last name. If you're unsure if you're voting for the right person, please email [email protected] to ask 👍

Here's the form 👉 https://forms.office.com/r/RKcaeJYkXL

You can vote for as many community members as you like. Voting closes November 13th at midnight. The top 25 will receive a fantastic surprise. We'll announce the winners at our STAR Birthday Tea on November 15th on FB Live🥳

Keep shining 🌟🌟

It's been a long time since I was able to post any updates on Wemyss Private Railway No 20 due to various combining factors.

With the SRPS Steam Department and Scottish Locomotive Owning Group LTD at the Bo'ness and Kinneil Railway having other more pressing priorities, the overhaul of No 20 has taken a back seat while there was a heavier focus on the overhauls of British Railways Standard Tank 80105 and Austerity Saddle Tank NCB No 7.

Thankfully 80105s overhaul is now 99% complete, and she has left "the big shed" and returned home to the Bo'ness and Kinneil Railways running shed. This has left a very sizable gap in Bo'ness Locomotive Works, and I'm very thankful that the space 80105 once occupied has been taken up by none other than WPR No 20!

On Monday the 12th of August, Wemyss Private Railway No 20 was brought into the big shed to continue her restoration and hopeful return to steam!

While the cab, bunker and tanks were left outside, the chassis of the locomotive was brought inside. This was done to allow further dismantling of various components on the locomotive so that the frames/chassis can have a thorough inspection to investigate what condition they are in and what repair work will needed to be carried out.

I'll hopefully now be able to keep up with some more regular updates every week to show progress on work being carried out on the frames of the locomotive. Hopefully being the key word as things change every week at Bo'ness!

At long last a post all about our bogie tank TEA 87867. It’s been many years in limbo stored at RSS Wishaw. Thankfully the Dean Forest agreed to give this dinosaur from the 60’s oil boom, a home as it represents a big chunk of the story. It’s been buried behind stuff at Wishaw for so long there’s minimal images to share. LTSV Tom knocked us up a graphic of its previous ex works condition. It’s currently very grubby but plans are afoot to give it a good scrub up soon. So if your at a loose end between Wishaw and Lydney tomorrow morning there will be a filthy green tube on a lorry heading South.
