Mangroves are essential for protecting coastlines, and coastal futures🌊

Among their many benefits, they support 126 million fishing days each year, providing food and income for millions of people.

This time last year we were lucky enough to document the work done by and .trees in Kilifi County, Kenya, where they protect and restore 640 hectares of mangrove forest.

What a privilege to witness the fierce protectors of these ancient, blue-carbon giants. 🌱

World Mangrove Day is this Saturday (26 July), a good reminder of how much these ecosystems do and how much care they need our care in return.

One series - three very different films and locations! ReWild took on three films within an epic series by - looking at technology being at the forefront of addressing the biggest challenges we face, from climate to health to community. 🌍🩺🧑‍🤝‍🧑

+ in Canada for - a device detecting radon and indoor air quality in our homes 🏠
+ in Kenya for - using data and AI to predict weather and help farmers care for their crops

“The bee means everything to me. For me it is an indispensable part of my life. I live because of her. She has helped me, she has educated me, she gives me food she gives me everything, everything that is around me, she has given it to me, so I live and breathe for her as, she lives and breathes for me, we are one.”

After Storm Daniel struck Thessaly in 2023, the beekeeping community was left in ruins - including 4th generation beekeeper, Ioannis, who lost hundreds of hives in a single day - that’s a LOT of bees.

But, there was still hope!! Through ‘s Billion Bees program, they are working to rebuild the lost hives in Thessaly - by rearing queen bees and sharing knowledge for more resilient beekeeping.

We recently joined WWF on assignment in the SOKNOT Region in Tanzania to tell a story on a groundbreaking mission to count lions 🦁📸 Using their unique whisker spots and other distinct features, we’re capturing every detail of these magnificent big cats. It’s a mix of science, passion, and a whole lot of patience as we work to protect these national treasures, one whisker at a time!
