Three suspected traffickers have been arrested in Bertoua in the East Region of for the illegal possession and trafficking of African grey parrots.

The traffickers that included a Ghanaian national were arrested during a crackdown operation conducted by wildlife officials of the East Regional Delegation of Forestry and Wildlife with technical assistance from the Last Great Ape Organisation .

Cameroon’s combat sports pride will take center stage at the finals of the inaugural Professional Fighters League PFL Africa Tournament at the iconic Sofitel Dome in Cotonou, , on Saturday, December 20.

The event will feature 11 bouts, including four title fights and seven showcases, spotlighting rising stars from across the continent.

Each winner of the tournament bouts the Heavyweight, Welterweight, Bantamweight, and Featherweight divisions will claim a massive $100,000 prize (about FCFA 60 million) in addition to prestigious title of pioneer champion.

As the first year of the inaugural Africa season of global Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) promotion, the PFL MMA, draws to a close with crowning of pioneer PFL Africa Champions, the General Manager of the League, Elias Schulze, has said the sports has seen remarkable growth on the continent, thanks largely to the active involvement of its Chairman and superstar, Francis N'Gannou.

Ahead of the finals in Cotonou, Benin on Saturday, December 20, Schulze has praised Ngannou’s hands-on leadership and inspiring journey, which he says resonates deeply with fighters.
