Apple Music is making its AI Transparency Tags mandatory and will show Made With AI labels later this year. It has not said how it will enforce them.

Well at least we'll know the Mr Roboto category now instead of having to guess 🤦‍♂️

Great weekend hanging with 311 Dirty Heads and of course my old friend Rome who is an unbelievable talent. Then got to Rock Lansing to hang with Blacktop Mojo and of course Powerman5000 who were loud in the hotel and I said "Hey take it down to Powerman 2000" (insert rim shot please)..

CDs are having a moment, and it's not close.

CD sales jumped 16% in the first half of 2026 to 16.3 million units, according to Luminate's midyear report, while vinyl grew just 2.4% over the same stretch. Even with K-pop juggernauts like BTS pulled out of the numbers, CDs still climbed 6.7%.

The catch? Roughly half of Gen Z and Millennial CD buyers don't even own a CD player, which says the disc is selling as a collectible and a way to support artists more than a way to actually spin the music.

Total physical album sales, LPs, CDs and cassettes combined, rose 7.8% to 38.2 million units.
