NEWS: The funeral of Jeannie Seely has been held at The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. She had performed a record 5,397 at the legendary venue, which billed her memorial service as Jeannie Seely's 5,398th Opry Show. Dolly Parton remembered Jeannie in a video tribute, while Larry Gatlin, Louise Mandrell, Ricky Skaggs, Steve Wariner, T Graham Brown and Darryl Worley were among those who offered memories and musical tributes. Jeannie died on 1 August aged 85 after experiencing complications from an intestinal infection.

Jeannie Seely was laid to rest in a very special memorial in Nashville on Thursday (Aug. 14), and the country community came together in her honor.

We're delighted that Lynne Taylor Donovan is sponsoring the UK Country Album Of The Year at this year's awards.

Lynne discovered her love for music after being gifted a record player by her Dad. She lip synced to records by artists such as Susan Jacks from the Poppy Family, Patsy Cline, and other female singers.

A few years later a family friend bought Lynne a guitar. She started off by initially learning three chords, and as they say, the rest is history.

NEWS: George Strait is to receive one of this year's Kennedy Center Honors. According to Deadline, US President Donald J. Trump chose the recipients himself. The others are Michael Crawford, Gloria Gaynor, Kiss and Sylvester Stallone. Mr Trump has reportedly said he will host the ceremony himself in December.

Donald Trump announced the list of 2025's Kennedy Center Honorees, the first since he took control of the institution, saying he will host the event.
