After years of silence, new concept art has surfaced online — showing Kashyyyk, the Wookiee homeworld — and Saber Interactive has confirmed they’re still actively working on the long-awaited remake.

Here’s the rundown:

🌌 Originally announced in 2021 as a PS5 exclusive, development began at Aspyr before shifting to Saber Interactive in 2022.

📅 Since then, rumors of delays and even cancellation have had fans worried.

🖼️ New leaked art shows Kashyyyk, a key location from the original KOTOR.

✅ Saber’s CCO Tim Willits has officially said the team is “focused on development” and will share more “when the time is right.”

The remake has now been in Saber’s hands for about 3 years, meaning a proper reveal (maybe even at a PlayStation State of Play) could finally be close.

💭 KOTOR first released in 2003 and is still considered one of the best Star Wars games ever made. Lets hope it lives up to the hype.

We have confirmation that Saints Row 2022 was originally going to be Saints Row 5 and exactly what the fans would’ve wanted...

Before execs forced the reboot, Volition had a real sequel in the works called “Saints Row Cinco.” Here’s what fans would’ve gotten:

🎭 Story & Characters

- Direct sequel to Saints Row: The Third (SR4 retconned, Johnny G*t alive)

- The Boss + OG Saints (Pierce, Shaundi, etc.) return to take over Santo Ileso

- Secret mission to finally confront Dex

- Tone: 20% SR3’s wacky style, 80% SR2’s gritty vibes

🏙️ Gameplay & Features

- Ultor returning as the main enemy (not the Marshals)

- Skill Tree split into Wealth / Fame / Muscle

- Criminal Ventures let you customize the city itself

- “Proclamation System” = pass laws in your districts (like enforcing dress codes or resolving stand-offs)

- Full crib system + deep customization for safehouses and the church

- NG+ and cheats unlocked through a hidden Genki pyramid

- Pierce’s VA had already recorded lines for the game

😬 What Happened?

- THQ Nordic execs rejected it, calling some features “too violent”

- Forced multiple rewrites → ended up with the “student loans cringe” reboot we got

Volition was shut down in 2023 after the flop...
