Galena Park/Jacinto City we are having a community meeting this Thursday at 6pm location address below. We will be giving information on what the air pollution looks like in our communities, showing you a tool you can use to see your air quality, hear about the new air monitor hub for our area and more. We will have dinner and raffle gift cards throughout the meeting. Please come and get informed on whats going on in your community. Let us know if you have any questions. Earth Day Festival is set here in Galena Park for tomorrow. Check out the flyer for all the details. We are looking for 5 particpants to part of our hot dog eating contest. If you would like a chance to win a generous gift card please let us know. We will be giving away gift cards throughout the day. We have Loteria/Mexican Bingo with prizes for the winners. ECAGP 3rd Annual Earth Day Festival is taking place this Saturday here in Galena Park at 1721 16th St, Galena Park, TX 77547. The flyer below has all the details. We will be giving away gift cards through the day. We will have a karaoke/talent show going on with gift card prizes for the winners. We will also have a hot dog eating contest with the winner getting a nice gift card prize. We are looking for 5 particpants for the hot dog eating contest. If you are interested let me know. Looking for 2 Galena Park residents to host a solar air monitor at their home or business. We are trying to get homes closer to Clinton and Ship Channel. There will be a stipend given to those that are chosen. Volunteers will be picked accordingly to distance to Clinton Drive. If you are interested or have questions please let us know.

We are having our Earth Festival today here in Galena Park starting at 10am free of charge . Open to all. We will be having a Green Market with fruits and vegetables. Also, different vendors, free hot dogs, kids arts and crafts, free snow cones, local fire department and more. Free entertainment such as mechanical bull, inflatable ax throwing, bouncing house, music band, DJ music and more. We will be giving away prizes and gift cards. Lots to f fun at 1721 16th St, Galena Park, TX 77547. Come and join us.

Early voting starts in 7 days. We pledge if elected to the City of Galena Park commission to bring the following basic changes:

1. We will improve city customer service at all the city levels.
2. We will not put our pictures all over town and not use city funds to advertise our offices we hold.
3. We will be transparent with our city budget in order to give citizens peace of mind that the work is being done and also in order for us to get more government grants to improve our city.
4. We will treat all residents of our city with respect and not exclude anyone from our programs regardless if they voted for us or not.
5. We will open up our city community buildings back up to be used for citizen programs for our youth, adults and seniors.
6. We will not exclude community organizations from using our city facilities because they don’t support the adminstation in office at the time.
7. We will audit our finances once a year and share the report with you the citizens.
8. Give the citizens an opportunity to speak to the city commission via city council meetings or individual meetings we can schedule.
9. We will not close city hall just to hide or ignore our citizens.
10. More importantly we as your elected officials will always keep our lines of communications open to hear ideas and suggestions that can improve our city. As we all make our city what it is and together we want to make it the best it can be.
