Rest in Power, Ras Sheehama (1966–2025)

Today, Namibia mourns the loss of a legend. Ras Sheehama has passed away at the age of 59.

A musical icon, Ras Sheehama’s powerful reggae sound became the heartbeat of a generation. His music carried the voice of the liberation struggle, inspiring hope, unity, and resilience. Beyond the struggle, he continued to uplift, educate, and connect people through lyrics rooted in justice, love, and peace.

His legacy as one of Namibia’s greatest cultural voices will live on, in the songs that defined an era and in the hearts of all who were moved by his art.

Namibia has lost a giant, but his music will echo forever.
